1 Ege Detector 1.0 Features Detects Rising Ege, Falling Ege, or Either Ege General Description The Ege Detector component samples the connecte signal an prouces a pulse when the selecte ege occurs. When to Use an Ege Detector Use the Ege Detector when a circuit nees to respon to a state change on a signal. Input/Output Connections This section escribes the various input an output connections for the Ege Detector. Input The signal connecte to the input is the signal that will be sample for an ege. Input The input ermines how often the input will be sample. Output The output pulses high when an ege is ecte on the input. 2 Ege Detector PSoC Creator Component Datasheet Component Parameters Drag an Ege Detector onto your esign an ouble-click it to open the Configure ialog. The Ege Detector provies the following parameters. EgeType This parameter ermines what type of ege to ect. The value must be Rising Ege, Falling Ege, or Either Ege. The efault is Rising Ege. Functional Description The Ege Detector stores the state of the signal at the last rising ege, an compares it to the current value of the signal. If the state change matches the ege type selecte in the customizer, the terminal will go high until the next rising ege. This means that the resulting pulse from an ege may be shorter than one cycle, but it will never be longer. Figure 1. Rising Ege Schematic Page 2 of 5 Document Number: Rev. *B
