4 1 868 MHz Remote Control System Overview High performance transmitters and receivers for adding a wireless remote control facility to automated gates, barriers, rising bollards, garage doors etc. Operating on the new European permitted frequency of MHz exclusively for use by remote controls they are not subject to interference from other radio signals such as wireless headphones, walkie-talkies, wireless alarm systems, crane remote controls and the TETRA emergency communications system. Innovative APS (approaching system) - see diagram, when a transmitter button is pressed it transmits its signal at regular intervals for 15 seconds, this ensures that maximum range is always achieved, for example when driving towards the gate the transmitter button is pressed but it is not within range of the receiver, however it carries on transmitting and as soon as within range the gate opens High security rolling code transmission system, operating in the new 868 MHz radio frequency band, range up to 200 metres Narrow bandwidth super-hetrodyne receivers ensure immunity to radio interference from other sources Remote programming, additional transmitters can be programmed remotely without the need to access the receiver Programming flexible transmitter operation, any transmitter button can be programmed to operate any receiver channel, special programming - pressing any transmitter button will activate relay 1, relay 2 or relays 1 & 2, each transmitter can be configured independently Your company name, logo and telephone number can be added to the transmitter (subject to a minimum order) at no extra cost A unique installer code can be added to the transmitters, once a receiver has registered a transmitter with an installer code, only transmitters that have the unique installer code will operate the receiver, this ensures that only the original installer benefits from subsequent sales of additional transmitters Watertight receiver enclosure with built in antenna Proven reliability in tens of thousands of installations throughout the world

6 3 868 MHz Advanced Remote Control System Overview See additional features on page 1 Advanced radio transmitters and receivers for adding a remote control facility to automated community and commercial gates, barriers, garage doors etc, with up to 500 users and the ability to manage and control users access. SIMPLE PROGRAMMING Transmitters can be programmed manually using the receivers program button, simply press the program button which puts the receiver into learn mode, then press the transmitter button that you wish to operate the receiver ADVANCED INSTALLATION CREATION AND MANAGEMENT The installation can be easily created and users managed using the ASSISTANT programming tool and management software along with a computer, the receivers removeable memory card is plugged into the ASSISTANT, the installation can then be created and managed using the computer software, the memory card is then replaced in the receiver Single or sequential programming of transmitter codes, this enables up to 500 codes to be programmed with just a few keystrokes Cancellation of codes either individually or in groups, once cancelled the transmitters will no longer be operational in the installation Saving, copying, back up and restoring of installations with no limit to the amount of installations Universal codes for use by installers and maintenance staff, enables a transmitter to operate in all installations Creation and management of user lists, it is possible to record users details against their particular transmitter code, for example name, address, telephone number etc, the data fields can be easily customised User groups enables you to effectively manage access to different areas of an installation Code replacement of lost or stolen transmitter, for example simply program a new transmitter with the code of the lost transmitter plus a replacement code, then simply press the transmitter button whilst on site and the lost transmitter code is deleted and replaced with the new one, the new transmitter is still assigned to the original user Reservation of memory slots for future additional users, simply enter the amount of reserves required when creating the installation, the programme will the asign a code to each slot, when a customer orders new transmitters simply select a reserve code in the program add the users details if required, place the transmitter on the ASSISTANT programming tool, the transmitter is now enabled in the system, send the transmitter to the customer Export and import user lists for editing in Excel

8 5 868 MHz Advanced Remote Control System Transmitters GOPRO transmitters have a unique identification number electronically embedded and laser engraved on the back, this enables them to be identified and managed in advanced remote control and access control systems, see page 3 for details. 9 Access Control System Overview The system comprises of stand alone access control units with integrated 868 MHz radio receiver and input connections for MHz proximity readers allowing both long and short range access control for up to 2000 users, a range of radio transmitters, proximity tags and cards, and transmitters with proximity. 10 7 Access Control System Installation Example Example installation of a factory with entry and exit road barriers and pedestrian turnstiles, the transmitters allow long range control of the barrier for vehicles and the proximity tags access control for pedestrians The access control unit can be configured using the on board keypad or the Assistant programming tool and software Equipment Configuration Transmitter channel 1 Relay 1 Entry barrier Transmitter channel 2 Relay 2 Exit barrier Proximity tag Programming User Access Each proximity tag* and transmitter** has a unique embedded ID number, this number is also engraved onto the transmitter and tag. Tags and transmitters are supplied boxed sequentially Transmitters and tags can be programmed into the access control units memory by typing the ID number into the user database either individually or sequentially by entering a start and ending ID number, this way up to 2000 tags and transmitters can be programmed with just a few keystrokes. Alternatively the transmitter or tag can be placed on the read/write area on the Assistant where the ID number will be read and placed into the next available memory slot. If required reserve memory slots can be created for future additional users, simply enter the amount of reserves required, the programme will the assign a code to each slot, when a customer orders new transmitters or tags simply select a reserve code in the program add the users details if required, place the transmitter or tag on the Assistant which will enable the tag or transmitter in the system, send to the customer. When the tag / transmitter codes have been programmed the users details can be entered, name, address, telephone number etc there are a number of preset and configurable fields. The access control unit or receivers removeable memory card is plugged into the ASSISTANT, the installation can then be created and managed using the computer software, the memory card is then replaced in the access control unit. 17 GSM Telephone Remote Control 14 The GSM-AUTO is a wireless remote control switch that connects to the GSM cell phone network. It is activated by calling its cell phone number, it will reject the call without answering and switch on or activate the device connected to it There are no call costs incurred when dialling the unit, it will recognise an authorised telephone number calling it and reject the call without answering It has 2 independent relay switches, these can be programmed to switch on for a predetermined length of time whenever the GSM- AUTO is called, alternatively the switches can be permanently switched on or off by text message. FAQ s What are its applications? It can be used to remotely switch on or off lighting, home heating systems, RV and marine cabin heaters, irrigation pumps, air conditioning, alarm systems, it also enables automated gates and doors to be opened using a mobile phone Will it work anywhere? There are basically two types of sensor: Retro reflective where the light beam transmitter and receiver are in the same unit, the beam is transmitted to a reflector where it is reflected back to receiver, the benefits of the retro reflective type are reduced cabling costs as only one side of the door or gate needs to be wired. The other type is the through beam where the light beam transmitter and receiver are separate units and need to be placed each side of the door or gate, the through beam type are generally cheaper, have a longer range and are quicker to align, however both sides of the door or gate need to be wired.
