2 ANSWERING AN INCOMING CALL Using the ANSWER Key: Receive an incoming call signal. Press the ANSWER key. Dial the destination. Press the RELEASE key or the ANSWER key. Using an Incoming Call Identification (ICI) Access Key: Receive an incoming call signal. Press the ICI key. Dial the destination. Press the RELEASE or the ANSWER key. ATTENDANT END-TO-END SIGNALING To Send DTMF Tones: Press the DTMF (AEE) Press the desired dialpad digit keys. After pressing all desired digits, press the AEE key again. DTMF tones will no longer be transmitted when dialpad keys are pressed. ATTENDANT OVERFLOW To Activate Attendant Overflow: Press the Attendant Overflow (OVF) (The OVF LED will light solid green, indicating that the feature is on.) To Deactivate Attendant Overflow: Press the OVF key again. (The OVF LED will extinguish, indicating that the feature is off.) AUTODIAL To Program an Autodial Key: Ensure that the console is in the idle state. Press the Program Mode (PRGM) access key. Press the Autodial (ADL) key to be programmed. Enter the number to be stored (up to 24 digits). Press the PRGM key to exit Program Mode. To Activate the Autodial Feature: Press the appropriate ADL Q U I C K R E F E R E N C E G U I D E -1-
3 AUTOMATIC RECALL To Answer a Released Loop Recall: Press the ANSWER key (or the appropriate ICI key). Press the SEND MESSAGE soft key, the RELEASE key, or the CANCEL key. Dial a new destination. To Answer a Supervised Loop Recall: Press the Loop key associated with the recall. Press the SEND MESSAGE soft key, the RELEASE key, or the CANCEL key. Dial a new destination. BLF (BUSY LAMP FIELD) To Display or Change the Busy Lamp Field: Press the Busy Lamp Field (BLF) access key. Enter the number of the desired hundreds group (1~3 digits). Enter to display stations 00~99. * Press the # key. To Deactivate the BLF Display: Press the BLF key. Press the # key. To Cancel an Incomplete BLF Operation: Press the CANCEL key. BREAK-IN (BUSY OVERRIDE) To Activate Break-in: Dial the destination and receive busy tone. Press the BREAK-IN soft key. Enter the conversation. Press the CANCEL key. 4 CALL HOLD To Place a Call on Hold: Press the HOLD key. To Retrieve a Held Call: Press the appropriate Loop key. CALL ORIGINATION To Originate a Call: Dial the desired digits. Press a System Speed Calling (SYSD), Autodial (ADL), or Last Number Redial (LND) Press a Direct Trunk Group (TG #) access key or enter the desired trunk group access code and then dial the destination number. Press the RELEASE key or the CANCEL key. CAMP-ON To Perform a Camp-on: Connect to a source party. Dial the destination. (The original call will be automatically placed on hold.) Receive busy tone. (The source party will be automatically camped-on to the destination.) CODE CALLING ACCESS To Perform Code Calling: After answering an incoming call, press the Code Calling (CC) Enter the Code Calling access code. Enter the desired Code Calling zone number. (Press the CANCEL key if the zone is busy.) Enter the paged party s code. Q U I C K R E F E R E N C E G U I D E -3-
5 CODE CALLING RETRIEVAL To Retrieve a Parked Code Call: Press the Code Calling Retrieval (CCMM) Enter the Code Calling Retrieval access code. Enter the number of the Code Calling zone in which the call is being held. DIRECT TRUNK GROUP ACCESS To Access a Trunk Group: Press the appropriate Direct Trunk Group (TG #) Enter the appropriate trunk group access code. Dial the destination. (Press the CANCEL key if you receive reorder or busy tone.) DO NOT DISTURB OVERRIDE BUSY STATION To Override a DND/BUSY Station: Connect to an incoming call. Dial the destination. (The original call will be automatically placed on hold.) Receive busy tone and a DND/BUSY display message. Press the OVERRIDE soft key. To enter the existing conversation and announce the new call, press the BREAK-IN soft key. Press the RELEASE key or the ANSWER key to camp the source party onto the DND/BUSY station. 6 DO NOT DISTURB OVERRIDE IDLE STATION To Override a DND/IDLE Station: Connect to an incoming call. Dial the destination. (If the attendant is in the talking state, the original call will be automatically placed on hold.) Receive a DND/IDLE display message. Press the OVERRIDE soft key. The station will begin to ring. EIGHT PARTY CONFERENCE To Establish an Eight Party Conference: Establish a two-way connection. Press the Eight Party Conference (CONF) Dial a destination. Press the CONF key again. Dial another destination. (5) Press the CONF key again. (6) Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all desired parties have joined the conference. To Drop the Last Added Party: Press the CANCEL key. (The party will only be dropped if pressing the CANCEL key is the next action performed after the party has been added.) To Exit the Conference: HELP SCREENS To Access the Help Screens: Press the HELP Press the desired soft, fixed, or flexible key. (Information about the key will appear on the console display screen.) 7 INTERPOSITION CALLING/ CALL TRANSFERRING To Call Another Attendant: Dial the directory number of another attendant or attendant group. JOIN To Perform a Join Operation: Press the ANSWER key or an ICI key to answer an incoming call. Press the HOLD key. Dial the destination. Press the Loop key on which the first call is being held. Press the Eight Party Conference (CONF) LAST NUMBER REDIAL To Redial the Last Dialed Number: Press the Last Number Redial (LND) LEAST COST ROUTING (LCR) To Access LCR: Enter the Least Cost Routing (LCR) access code. Dial the destination. MESSAGE WAITING/SEND MESSAGE To Register a Message From the Idle State: Press the MESSAGE WAITING soft key. Press the REGISTER soft key. Dial the station number. To Register a Message at an Additional Station: Press the MORE soft key. Dial the new station number. Q U I C K R E F E R E N C E G U I D E -6-
8 To Exit the Message Waiting Register Function: Press the EXIT soft key. To Delete a Message: Press the MESSAGE WAITING soft key. Press the DELETE soft key. Dial the station number. To Delete Message Waiting From an Additional Station: Press the MORE soft key. Dial the new station number. To Exit the Message Waiting Delete Function: Press the EXIT soft key. To Send a Message to a Busy or Ringing Station: Dial the station number. Press the SEND MESSAGE soft key. NIGHT ANSWER (UNA) ACCESS To Pick up Calls From the Night Answer Device: Press the Night Answer (UNA) Enter the Night Answer access code. Enter the Night Answer device number. Process the call. NON-DELAYED STRAIGHTFORWARD COMPLETION To Perform a Non-delayed Straightforward Call: Connect to an incoming call. Press the Direct Trunk Group (TG #) Enter the appropriate access code. 9 POSITION BUSY To Enter Position Busy (Unattended) Mode: Press the POSITION BUSY switch. Note: The console will be placed in a Position Busy Pending state if the attendant is currently talking to a party or making an outgoing call. To Exit Position Busy (Unattended) Mode: Press the POSITION BUSY switch again. Enter any required password. RECALL OF STATION TRANSFERS To Retrieve Unanswered Station Transfers: Press the ANSWER key, the appropriate ICI key, or the Loop key (if the call was placed on a supervised loop). The call will be handled as a new, incoming call. SUPERVISED LOOP OPERATION To Place a Call on a Supervised Loop: While in the talking state, press the Supervise (SPVS) Dial the destination. Press the Split (SPLT) access key if you hear busy tone. To Monitor a Supervised Call: Press the Loop key associated with the lit ATTENDANT LED. Monitor the call (in a listen-only capacity). Press the SPVS key to place the call back on a supervised loop. Q U I C K R E F E R E N C E G U I D E -8-
10 SYSTEM SPEED CALLING To Access System Speed Calling: Press the System Speed Calling (SYSD) Enter the System Speed Calling access code. Enter the System Speed Calling Index Number (IDX). Enter any necessary additional digits. THREE-WAY CALLING To Activate Three-Way Calling: After Connecting to a Caller and Placing Another Caller on Consultation Hold: Press the Eight Party Conference (CONF) THROUGH DIALING To Perform Through Dialing for a Source Party: Answer an incoming call. Press the Direct Trunk Group (TG #) Enter the appropriate trunk group access code. Press the Split (SPLT) key if the trunk group is busy. TRUNK GROUP CONTROL To Access Trunk Group Control: Press the NEXT SCREEN soft key. Press the TGN CONTROL soft key. To Restrict Trunk Group Access: Press the RESTRICT soft key. Enter the trunk group number. Press the NEXT TGN soft key to continue restricting trunk groups in succession. Q U I C K R E F E R E N C E G U I D E -9-
11 To Restrict a Trunk Group out of Sequence: Press the MORE soft key. Enter the trunk group number. To Exit Trunk Group Control: Press the EXIT soft key. To Remove Restrictions: The Trunk Group Control function must be exited and re-entered in order for the Unrestrict feature to be available. Press the NEXT SCREEN soft key. Press the TGN CONTROL soft key. Press the UNRESTRICT soft key. Enter the trunk group number. To Remove Restrictions From the Next Trunk Group: Press the NEXT TGN soft key. To Remove Restrictions on a Trunk Group out of Sequence: Press the MORE soft key. Enter the trunk group number. To Exit Trunk Group Control: Press the EXIT soft key. TRUNK VERIFICATION AND FORCED RELEASE To Access Trunk Verification: Press the NEXT SCREEN soft key. Press the TRUNK VERIFY soft key. Enter the trunk equipment number. To Verify the Next Trunk Line: Press the NEXT TRUNK soft key. To Verify a Trunk out of Sequence: Press the MORE soft key. Enter the trunk equipment number. To Verify an Idle Trunk: If the trunk has no dial tone or there is noise on the line press the MAKE BUSY soft key. Press the NEXT TRUNK soft key, the MORE soft key, or the EXIT soft key. 12 To Verify a Busy Trunk: Press the BREAK-IN soft key. Press the RELEASE soft key if there is no activity on the line. Press the NEXT TRUNK soft key, the MORE soft key, or the EXIT soft key. To Verify a Busied-out Trunk: Press the RESTORE soft key if you hear dial tone. Press the CANCEL key if there is noise on the line or if there is no dial tone. Press the NEXT TRUNK soft key, the MORE soft key, or the EXIT soft key. To Verify Audio Quality: Dial a destination. Converse with the destination party to test the trunk. Press the CANCEL key to release the trunk if the line has good voice quality. To Force Release a Trunk: Press the BREAK-IN soft key to determine trunk activity. Press the RELEASE soft key to force a release. Press the NEXT TRUNK soft key, the MORE soft key, or the EXIT soft key. TWO-WAY SPLITTING To Perform Two-way Splitting: Connect to a destination party while a source party is on hold. Press the Split (SPLT) Continue to press the SPLT key to alternate between the source and destination parties. Q U I C K R E F E R E N C E G U I D E -11-
13 VOICE CALLING To Make a Voice Call: Dial the destination station. Press the VOICE CALL soft key. Begin speaking. If there is no response, press the RETURN TO RING soft key to return the call to the ringing state. Press the Split (SPLT) access key, the SEND MESSAGE soft key, or the RELEASE key. VOICE PAGING ZONE PAGING To Perform Zone Paging: Press the Zone Paging (VP-Z) access key and enter the desired paging zone number. Enter the Zone Paging access code and the desired paging zone number. Press the VP-Z key assigned to the desired zone number (VP #). Press the CANCEL key if the paging zone is busy. Make your paging announcement. Press the CANCEL key. ATTENDANT-PARKED ZONE PAGING To Park a Call and Page a Party: Press the Zone Paging (VP-Z) access key and then enter the desired zone number and destination number. Enter the Zone Paging access code and then enter the desired number and destination number. Press the VP-Z key assigned to the desired zone number (VP #). 14 ATTENDANT-PARKED ZONE PAGING RETRIEVAL To Retrieve a Zone Page Parked by an Attendant: Press the Attendant-parked Zone Paging Retrieval (PR-A) Enter the Attendant-parked Zone Paging Retrieval access code. Enter the orbit number in which the call is parked. STATION-PARKED ZONE PAGING RETRIEVAL To Retrieve a Zone Page Parked by a Station: Press the Zone Paging Retrieval (VPMM) Enter the Zone Paging Retrieval access code. Enter the number of the zone in which the call has been parked. SYSTEM PAGING To Perform System Paging: Press the System Paging (VP-S) Enter the System Paging access code. Press the CANCEL key if a busy condition is encountered. Make your paging announcement. Press the CANCEL key. ATTENDANT-PARKED SYSTEM PAGING To Park a Call and Make a Page to All Zones: Press the System Paging (VP-S) access key. Enter the System Paging access code.
