3 Universal Box Rests This is the perfect Tool Rest for making flat bottom boxes. Machined from solid steel this is the strongest Tool Rest of this type available anywhere. Fits on any of our standard Tool Posts listed. The Universal Box Rest is available in two sizes, 1 wide and 1-1/2 wide. The 1 wide Box Rest extends 3-1/2" into the work and the 1-1/2 Box Rest extends 4 into the work to support flat bottom scrapers at the tip of the tool, as shown below. It can also be used to support scrapers on the outside of a work piece and is outstanding when used with threading tools. The new 1 wide Universal Box Rest is particularly useful for turning small boxes and other projects on small and mini-lathes. Available in a wide variety of lengths in 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, and 1-1/2 diameters as well as 22 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, and 40 mm diameters. 7 One Piece Headstock & Tailstock Chuck Reversing Adapter See Page 16 For Drawbars One Piece Headstock & Tailstock Chuck Reversing Adapter This is the ultimate spindle adapter. Use any chuck or face plate on any number of lathes. Works with any lathe with a #2 Morse Taper spindle. This high accuracy adapter is specifically designed for use in both your lathes headstock and your lathes tailstock. This allows you to turn your project clamped in your chuck and then transfer your project to your tailstock. Once it is mounted in your tailstock simply move your tailstock up to your vacuum chuck, apply vacuum, release your chuck and your project is perfectly aligned and ready to finish. It also allows you to transfer your workpiece from one lathe to another lathe without the loss of any accuracy. Unlike low cost two piece Tailstock Chuck Reversing Adapters, this solid one piece heavy duty steel adapter is guaranteed to have runout of +/-.001 or less. 8 Baxter s Thread Master * Thread Milling Attachment Worlds simplest, easiest, most versatile, and most accurate threading attachment. Now, you too, can turn and thread, beautiful lidded boxes like Willard Baxter s Acorn shown above. Threading inside or outside diameters is accomplished by milling the thread into the work piece. No complicated calculations or eyeballing alignment necessary! First, turn your box. Next, turn your lid. Slide this threading attachment on your lathe. Mount the cutter in the spindle. Attach your box to the threading attachment and mill your thread. Once the first piece is finished you mill the second piece to match. The standard unit comes set up to mill 16 pitch threads, has a 1 x 8 TPI Spindle Head, and is keyed for your lathe bed. The standard unit is for use on lathes 10 to 12.5 swing. Optional Threading Heads are available for 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 threads per inch. The Threading Heads have an interchangeable Spindle Head. This allows you to use this Threading Attachment on several different lathes, or continue to use this attachment if you up-grade your equipment, and match the spindle thread for each lathe. Spindle Heads are available with 1 x 8 TPI, 1 x 12 TPI, 1-1/4 x 8 TPI, 1-1/2 x 8 TPI, M30 x 3.5, and M33 x 3.5 spindle threads. Other models are available for most lathes up to 28 swing. Oversize clamping levers assure extra strong rigidity, allowing carving with a mallet. Use your lathe chuck or face plates to hold your work. 12 Texas Quick Change Spur Drives for All Chucks Totally New Design This Quick Change version of the Texas Spur Drive fits all chucks with 50mm jaws and many other size jaws. No longer is it necessary to have multiple quick change drives to fit all of your chucks. This single body fits them all! Simply open your chuck jaws, insert the body, close the jaws. No need to remove the chuck and install a drive into the morse taper. This Quick Change Body uses all of the Texas Spur Drive Inserts shown below. All 2, 4, and 6 Flute Drives are 1-1/2 diameter.
