10 NAILS Nails have been manufactured by Metalurgia since the very beginning of the company s existence. For years this product has been developed and improved to achieve its current form. Common nails with round shank and fl at smooth head or conical checked head 0,8-9,0 mm mm building works, carpentry and fi nishing works - for joining of wooden constructions and boards. Square Nails 1,2-8,8 mm mm building works, carpentry and fi nishing works. Square shape of the shank provides more durable fastening in wooden constructions. Square Twisted Nails 2,2-6,0 mm mm production of pallets and wooden packaging, building works, carpentry and fi nishing works. Square and twisted shape of the shank provides more durable fastening compared to the square shank of nails. 2

11 Ring Shank Nails 2,0-4,5 mm mm nailing together of wooden elements where solid connection is of the greatest importance, a.o.: production of pallets, wooden packaging and chests, nailing together of wooden fences and furniture (also garden furniture). Ring shank provides increased parameters of extracting force. Pallet Nails (ring shank) 3,8 mm 70 and 90 mm nailing of all kinds of pallets, including EURO pallets. Spiral Shank Nails 2,4-4,5 mm mm building works, carpentry and fi nishing works; production of pallets and wooden packaging. Spiral shape of the shank provides more durable fastening in wooden constructions. 3

12 NAILS Clout (Roofing) Nails with round shank 1,6-4,5 mm mm Extra Large Head Clout (Roofing) Nails 2,0-3,4 mm mm fi xing of soft isolating materials, including roofi ng as: roofi ng paper, asphalt belts, bituminous shingles, roof slates. There is a possibility of manufacturing of roofi ng nails with square and twisted shank. Finishing (Lost Head) Nails 0,9-8,0 mm mm fi nishing works, including: assembly of fi nishing and decorative slats and assembly of wainscot. Also used to nailing small furniture details together. Most often offered galvanized in yellow. 4

13 Upholstering (Plasterboard) Nails with round, smooth or jagged shank and with fl at, conical or lenticular head 1,0-2,8 mm mm carpentry and upholstery works, including: assembly of wooden furniture and textile upholsteries of furniture. Also offered in the form of blued, designed for dark upholstery fabrics. Blue coating constitutes anti-rust layer - prevents from rusty marks. Depending on their shape the nail heads have also their decorative role. Anchor (Carpentry) Nails 3,8-4,2 mm mm fastening of carpentry connecting elements. Ring shank provides increased parameters of extraction force. Offered electro galvanized Umbrella Head Nails with round, square, square twisted or ring shank 3,1-3,8 mm mm roof works - for fastening of roofi ng, mainly steel roofi ng-tile. Nails with characteristic (convex or fl at) head in the form of plate of 1,2 mm in thickness and 18 or 20 mm of diameter, fastened to the nail shank. 5

14 NAILS Corner Nails 2,5-3,0 mm mm fi xing of window corners Duplex Head Nails 2,8-4,1 mm mm nailing of wooden formwork. Double head makes it possible to easily disassemble the formwork. Oval Shank Nails 2,0 x 1,25-5,0 x 3,35 mm mm a type of fi nishing nails for fi nishing works. The specifi c shape of the shank prevents strong delaminating of wood. 6

15 Ceiling Nails with round or square shank 2,0-5,0 mm mm fi xing of cane materials to walls and wooden ceilings, also suspension elements e.g.: roof gutters and hanging elements, fl owerbeds. These nails are most often driven in wooden beams and roof constructions, in ceilings or walls. Hinge Nails 3,0-4,0 mm mm fi xing of door and window hinges. Hardened Nails for electrical installations 2,0-3,4 mm mm special nails for fi xing (installation) of electrical cables in walls. Nails are very hard (due to hardening process) and therefore can be driven into walls and concrete walls. Hardened Nails lengthwise rolled with fl at or conical head 2,7-3,8 mm mm Special nails for fi xing of various kinds of elements, including: wooden constructions, isolating materials, for walls and concrete walls, full brick or hard wood. 7

16 NAILS Heel Nails: - smooth or ring shank - fl at or one side rounded head - diamond or blade point 1,2-2,8 mm mm shoe works, fi xing of soles (also rubber) and heels Heel Nails for heel tops 3,5 mm 20 mm shoe works, fi xing of heel tops Heel Nails for steel plates and hooves 1,6-2,0 mm mm shoe works, fi xing of protective steel plates to footwear and hooves. Horseshoe Nails 0,9-3,4 mm mm fi xing of horseshoe heel protectors. Also used for fastening of building ferrule 8

17 Fence Staples of bare wire or galvanized wire 1,6-4,2 mm mm Hook-type elements used for wire fi xing (including barbed wires) and fi xing mesh to posts, stamps, wooden frames or other wooden constructions. They may be manufactured with askew-cut point (made from galvanized wire) or diamond point (bare or galvanized). Marker Nails 6,0 mm 52 mm railroad works, for marking (stamping) of wooden railway sleepers/ties and wooden poles. Nails with characteristic large head, on top of which a number is stroked. Moulding Pins for strengthening parts of cores or casting forms, characteristic feature is high slenderness ratio. 9

18 Special nails manufactured from non-ferrous metals and stainless steel joined constructions, which are open to infl uence of humidity. Nails manufactured from stainless materials prevent formation of rust water stains on joined elements.
