1 ctast l F-Clamp PREFORMED AND OPEN END PUNCH-TYPE HOSE CLAMPS FAST LOK Preformed Clamp FAST LOK Open End Clamp Preformed Clamps are double wrapped and formed to a given diameter. Used primarily where one end of the hose or article is free to allow the clamps to be slid over the hose end before the fitting is inserted. Preformed clamps range in size from 13/16 inch I.D. to 8 inch I.D.; all clamps may be pulled down to a smaller diameter but cannot be adjusted to a larger diameter. Double-Wrapped Triple-Punched Holds Permanently Open End Clamps are of the same general construction as the preformed clamps with this exception, the double wrapping of the band around the hose or article is a part of the application. The open end clamps are used when one end or both, of the article to be clamped Is not free, or an obstruction prevents slipping a preformed clamp over the end. Open End Clamps range in size from 13/16 inch I.D. to 48 inch I.D. CLAMPS KADD1 FOLD-UP ADAPTER KS001 WIND-UP TOOL Fast Lok JS - clamps are double wrapped clamps with a more smooth inside diameter, intended for your thermoplastic and other thinner wall hose clamping applications. The JS series clamps slide on the hose prior to inserting the fitting. Preformed JS - Clamps are available in 5/a and ¼ inch widths, 1 inch I.D. to 8 inch 1.0. in ¼ inch increments. ( VIEW3 Hold the tool with clamp resting on Vee block, vise, or other solid surface... swing Punch Head down against Lok and strike hard with mallet; this "Locks the Clamp." Raise Punch Head to free punch. Hold hose to keep from turning and raise both handles of tool up together which will break off band at Lok. (OPTIONAL) Peen corners of Lok down smooth. To remove cut off end from tool, operate ball handle to work ii through holding dog. Then press release lever and pull strip out toward rear of tool. VIEW4 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ADAPTER TO APPLY 3/8" WIDTH CLAMPS The F1 00 L.oklng Tool described above, as shipped, is ready for use in applying all sizes of 5/8" Standard and Heavy Duty hose clamps. To apply the 3/8" wide clamps use the Adapter Part No r F-229. \ To insert the Adapter, hold the tool with the Punch Head F-201 raised as shown and place the Adapter under the pusher nose with the bent ends up and push back until shoulder rests against front of pusher nose. The F-229 Clamp Adapter under the pusher nose part F-206 centers the narrower clamp in the tool.

For 3/8" width Clamp use narrow slotted end. Push Winder into Frame with slot engaging Clamp end. Ratchet wrench attached to winder.

Push punch down on LOK and while holding tension with Wrench, strike firm blow with hammer, thus locking the Clamp.

(OPTIONAL) Peen corners of LOK smooth. Twist up tail and when it is free, pull out the Winder.

Twist up tail and when it is free, pull out the Winder. To move punch from one end to other end, squeeze legs of punch holder and reengage in holes at opposite end. NOTE: On applications such as glass, radiator spud or objects where punching would be injurious, pull tension - raise CLAMP-TOOL to bend strip at right angle - remove winder - clip off 1/4 inch above the bend - fold end, close over LOK. To use Open End Clamp, wrap and lace the Clamp twice around, threading each wrap through the LOK, apply CLAMP-TOOL and use as above.
