5 Host Preparation Here are a few tips to help you prepare yourself and your cast for the corporate murder mystery. Read the Guide on How to Host a Host-Party Corporate Murder Mystery. This guide will give you all the specifics on preparing for and hosting your party. This guide should have been ed to you upon purchase. 6 Guest Instructions Playing one of our mysteries requires no special acting abilities, just a willingness to have fun. Our site gives you all the details you need to prepare for the party including character descriptions of all guests, internal information about your character (do not reveal this to others), and costume/prop recommendations. During the party, each of you will be given clues. The clues provide all the information required to unlock the mystery. Each clue is designated as a clue to be concealed or a clue to be revealed. Conceal clues are generally information about your character that you try to hide (without lying) from the others. Reveal clues are ones that you should share with others in casual conversation. During the party, guests will mingle around asking questions about each other's character and about clues you have received. As the game progresses, you will gather more and more information and at the end of the allotted time you will need to sift through fact and fiction to decide what has happened to John Lothario, and who is responsible. The characters can be played to suit the comfort zone of each player. If you like the spotlight or enjoy role playing, immerse yourself in your character s persona and live the night as you think they would. You may even decide to exaggerate your character s personality for even more effect. On the other hand, if you prefer to participate in a less theatrical capacity, you may want to sit on the couch and let people come to you, approach each character off to the side or just listen in on other conversations until you get your feet wet and are feeling a bit more comfortable. There are only a few simple rules to follow when playing our games. 1. Stay in Character. (Costumes are highly recommended) 2. Hide/Stretch the truth, but don't lie! 3. Interrogate others. 7 Round 1 - Round 1 Round Instructions To start the game, the host should make an announcement that John Lothario is missing under mysterious circumstances, and everyone present must stay until the mystery gets sorted out. All those present should talk among themselves and try to discover hidden motives among members of the group. The host should then hand out the first round of clues. "- Round 1 Clue for Beatrice Bucks Lisa's secret It seems that Lothario s lip-syncing was a well-kept secret. After all, you were Lothario s manager, and even you didn t know about it until Lisa Scribe told you. None of the other ladies knew. It makes you wonder just how long did she keep it a secret? She seemed concerned at first that if John Lothario lost his celebrity status, no publications would want to buy the photos she had taken of him. This clue should be revealed to others. Sara Rune pulled out a fat notebook with lots of notes on various people and John Lothario was one of them! When you asked her about it, she said that she had done a little research before she did her first psychic reading for John Lothario. This clue should be revealed to others. 10 Round 1 Clue for Katarina Kitty John's cell phone Earlier today when you and the other ladies were listening in on the conversation John Lothario was having with Snoops, you were astonished at how much he had figured out on his own. You never thought he was especially smart before. But he told Snoops that after his dog, Armani went missing, he felt sure he saw a woman who looked just like Clara Rover walking a dog that looked just like Armani! He thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, so he took a picture with his cell phone just to be sure. This clue should be revealed to others. If she smells a good story in the making, she keeps on the trail until she's got the scoop. Her probing interview style that can get anybody to spill their deepest secrets. Motive: Only once has Lisa decided not to break an important story, and that was when she first met John Lothario. She knew that he lip-synced all of his performances. She could have advanced her career by being the first to break the story. But Lisa told the editor of her newspaper that the rumors were false because she had started to fall in love with John. Now that John s betrayed and humiliated her, Lisa can t help thinking about the great scoop she gave up. She feels that John owes her, and big.
