2 EDUCATION COMMUNITY INSPIRATION SUPPORT PROMOTION The sheer magnitude of building and running a business is quite frankly enough for most people to contend with, let alone the constraints of marketing your business via social media. However, we all know that love it or loathe it, social media presence is a necessary business tool, which brings with it a whole host of benefits. it can be a struggle to constantly think of new and engaging ways to create different post content for your social media platforms, so feel free to use this list of 40 ideas to give you daily inspiration for your social media channels. It's a great list if you're stuck for something to post on a particular day or even better, you can use this list to plan out, create and schedule content using social media scheduling software, so that you're not always posting in person, on a daily basis. This list has a good mixture of work-related and non work-related post ideas. Don't forget that although you are primarily using your social media platforms to talk about what you do, they are also the place to share snippets of who you are as a person. What makes you the person you are, who does the job that you do. So don't think that everything always has to be about work! All you need to do is to choose which post idea to go with, find your photo ( a stock photo, a professional photo with credits, or your own) and then write the text for it. These aren't challenge type posts, so you don't need to explain why you're posting them, simply post and enjoy the interactions that follow.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF Not everyone sees all of your posts all of the time, especially those who are new to your platform, so it is a really good idea to introduce yourself every once in a while, so others can get to know the person behind the posts. Share some fun or interesting facts about yourself and let the social media world know what makes you 'you' and why you love what you do. 2. TRUE OR FALSE POST Engage people to answer a true or false question about you. It's a great way to share more information about yourself and a fun way to get people engaging on your social media channels. You could provide 3 statements and ask people to identify which ones are true! 3. ACTION PHOTO Share a photo of you in work action. Explain what you're doing and why you're doing it, and what it means to do what you do. 4. SHARE A BOOK TITLE Take a photo of a book you're currently reading or have just read. Explain how you found it and how it might have helped with your work or personal life. 5. INSPIRATIONAL PERSON PHOTO Share a photo of someone who you find inspiring. Whether its a famous person, or a friend or family member and talk about how and why the inspire you. 6. ESSENTIALS PHOTO Take a photo of something that you can't live without. An object that helps you with your work or helps you in your personal life to achieve what you need to achieve. 7. INSPIRATIONAL PLACE PHOTO Share a photo of your favourite place or holiday spot, which is an important and special place for you.

4 8. QUOTE POST Share your favourite quotes, or quotes that you've recently come across and have been touched by and explain why. 9. WHAT'S OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW? People love to be nosy! Share a photo of the current view outside your window. Talk about the seasons and what the season means to you and what your view means to you. 10. LOVELY CLIENTS Share a photo of your couples and families (with their permission) and explain why you loved working for them and how you helped them. 11. YOUR WORKSPACE Take a photo of your workspace, even if it's a state! People like to know where your creativity comes alive and are very interested in the 'behind the scenes' type posts. 12. SHARE A PHOTO OF A COLLEAGUE Give a shout out to a colleague or an industry acquaintance who you know, work with often or whose company you enjoy. Talk about how you work with them/know them and what you admire about them. 13. GRATITUDE POSTS Talk about what you are thankful for today or for the week/month/year. 14. YOUR BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT Share a photo of something business related - maybe you in action, and talk about three things that make you unique or make you stand out. Or three things you love about your job.

RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT Share a photo of an industry resource or product (ie a wedding magazine or blog etc) that you enjoy reading or using and make recommendations about it for potential couples and families. 16. SHARE A STRUGGLE Nobody is perfect. Talk about a business or personal struggle you may have (and don't mind sharing) and talk about how you have overcome/are overcoming it. You can ask others to offer advice or share their struggles, too. 17. FAVOURITE SONGS If there's a particular song that you love, that helps you to work or gets you in a particular mood, share a photo of the artwork or a snippet of the video and explain why. Explain how it makes you feel and when you like to listen to it. 18. YOUR WORK DAY Share a photo of your workspace or your notebook and list out your average or current work day, what it entails and what you need to do to get through your list YOU IN THREE WORDS If you use Canva or an equivalent you can create a graphic with three words on it, which describe you. Then in the text you can go on to explain why those three words describe you in more detail. 20. WARDROBE ESSENTIAL Share an item of clothing that you absolutely can't do without, and explain why. 21. YOU IN COLOUR Create a colour mood board and explain why you love those colours and what those colours say about you and how you work.

6 22. YOUR ROUTINE Talk about your morning, evening or work routine. Talk about what you do on a ceremony day or on a meeting day. Give a behind the scenes insight. 23. PHOTO FROM THE PAST Share a photo from your childhood or youth. Explain a little about your journey that's led you to where you are. Are you anything like your childhood self? Are there characteristics that you had as a child, which you still have? 24. SELF CARE POST Share with your followers a little about what you do to take care of yourself. Or what you would like to do more of to take care of yourself. 25. A GOOD CAUSE POST Share about a cause that is very dear to your heart or a cause that you support. Explain what it means to you and why you support it. 26. TOP TIP POST Share a piece of useful advice for your followers. Something that will help them with their own life celebration. 27. VENUE POST Share a favourite work venue of yours and talk about why you enjoy being there and what is great about it. 28.FESTIVE/CELEBRATORY POSTS Give your thoughts on an upcoming festive/celebratory period. How it makes you feel, what you do to celebrate.

7 29. POST YOUR FAVOURITE TIPPLE (ALCOHOLIC OR NOT!) People love to learn more about you away from your role as a Celebrant. Share a photo of your favourite drink, whether its a cup of tea or glass of wine. Tell them about your favourite drink and when you love to indulge in it and why! 30. SHARE A 'DID YOU KNOW...?' POST Reveal something about yourself or your work that you think people should know about you or your work, but don't. 31. A BRANDING POST Share a photo of your logo or slogan and talk about what it is how it is and what is says about your business. Talk about the name and the colours you've chosen and what your business mission statement is. 32. A HOBBY POST Share a photo of your hobby, especially if it is related in anyway to your work as a Celebrant. But even if it isn't, talk about it anyway. People want to know there is a real human being on the other side of these posts. 33. FAVOURITE FILM POST Share a photo of one of your favourite films, and talk about why you like it. It doesn't matter if it's relevant to your work or not but it's a great way to show off your personality and to talk about the things that interest/inspire you and why. 34. LOCAL AREA PHOTO Share a photo from the area where you live, a picturesque spot or somewhere special and talk about why you love where you live, especially in relation to your work, if you can.

8 35. BUSINESS GOALS POST Share 3 business goals (that you're happy to share on social media!) and explain why they're important to you. 36. A REFLECTION POST Talk about when you started your business and how it has changed up to now. This is a great thing to do if you reach a business milestone or anniversary, but equally great to do at any point in time. 37. ADVICE POST Share a piece of advice that you were given once, good or bad, and explain your thoughts on it and how it helped or didn't help in life or business. 38. ANNIVERSARY POST Anniversaries of all sorts are great to post about and show off your gratitude for. It could be the first anniversary of your first ceremony, you business start-up anniversary, wedding anniversary or a professional achievement anniversary, or even a birthday. Whatever special anniversary you have, don't be shy in celebrating it and talking about it. People love to congratulate others on anniversaries. 39. A THANK YOU POST Whether you've experienced a spurt in followers or not, it's always nice to periodically thank those who tune in to your platforms and who take the time to engage with you. 40. FUTURE POSTS Share upcoming future events that you're excited about and are looking forward to. Explain why they're important and what they mean to you or your business.
