Clark Jr. was born in He dedicates his life to helping disadvantaged students. He went to East Carolina University, and won the Shorty Award for Education. He founded the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia and is a New York Times bestselling author. Clark is also a motivational speaker who focuses on the topic of inspiring education related topics. The Ron Clark Academy is a nonprofit organization that accepts donations. His academy was founded in 2007 with Kim Bearden and there are 113 students enrolled from fifth to eighth grade. There are 22 staff members and the facility is 44,000 square ft. with 14 classrooms, a media center, a two story slide and an indoor trampoline and gymnasium. They have many after school activities such as soccer, tennis, drumming, tutoring, African dance, acting, and more. The academy has a basketball, cheer, dance, robotics and other teams. He has written three books on education and in 2006 there was a movie made based off his life as an inspiring motivational education speaker. He recently uploaded a video of his students dancing to the Whip and Nae Nae song. It has become popular online and is a wonderful sign of hope for these children. He is an amazing motivator and an amazing voice for education. He is very inspiring and is very optimistic in education. 2 Star Wars Star Wars: The Force Awakens is one of the Top Film Franchise. This Saga began May 25, 1977 as their first movie, Star Wars: A New Hope. The Latest Star Wars is breaking records and many even become the top grossing film ever. If you do not know what Gross means well the gross means produce or earn (an amount of money) as gross profit or income. Well with so much money you know that Star War: The Force Awakens will probably become the biggest movie in U.S box office history. This article will contain spoilers of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If you have not watch the movie and will not want to hear spoilers, please stop reading and do not continue or else you will be upset. Star Wars: The Force Awakens Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a sequel to the previous 6 Star Wars. The Force Awakens takes place after 30 years of the defeat of the Galactic Empire. Finn is one of the main chararaters tries to save a rebel pilot by betraying the Dark Side but accidently crashes on the planet Jakku which is a desert planet. There Finn meet a scavenger Rey where she lives all alone. There are some theories about the new Star Wars. Here they are: Is Rey Luke s Daughter In the movie, it is shown that Rey does uses the Force. Now this is strange because she wasn t train by a Jedi Master. This also is weird because she can easily use the force. Maybe that Rey is Luke s Daughter. In the movie, Luke s old light saber was drawn to Rey so maybe this theory can be true or maybe she can be a relative of Luke or another Jedi Master like Obi-Wan Kenobi. Well we got to wait to the till Star Wars, Episode VIII. 2

3 Kylo Ren Trying to Collect Darth Vader s Artifacts In the movie and also in the trailer of Star War s Force Awakens, you see Darth Vader s helmet in the possession of Kylo Ren. It seems as if he is trying to get all of Darth Vader s old lightsabers but was last seen when Luke drop it in Cloud City. Finally, Darth Vader confesses to Luke that he is his father. Darth Vader said to Luke, I am your Father. So, it seems as if Kylo Ren is trying to get Darth Vader s old lightsaber. Is Luke Going to Become Bad? At the end of the movie, you see that that Rey finds Luke by connecting the missing pieces of the map. It shows that Luke was hiding but it doesn t show that he is a bad guy. Many people are probably wondering, why do you think that Luke Skywalker is going to become bad, well in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back, when Luke is being train by master Yoda, Luke gets in a fight with a fake Dark Vader. In the scene you notice that wasn t the real Dark Vader. As the fake Luke fights Dark Vader, Luke was able to win but Luke see his own face in his own Father s helmet. What does this mean? Will Luke somehow go to the Dark Side, well we will find out in the future. Jar Jar Binks Evil Okay, you know that weird aliens you saw and maybe you thought he was annoying, well this is strange but he may be evil. If you go on youtube and search up Jar Jar Binks evil, well you will see why many people think why he is evil -Michael Carolino 3

4 The Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs It is a crazy first round of the NFL playoffs and four teams was able to survive while the others four lost. There was four games in the first rounds, these four games were, Texans, Bengals, Vikings, and Redskins. The weird part of this was that all the road teams won and the home teams loss. I will be only talking about the Vikings and the Texans. Vikings It was a cold day at the TCF Bank Stadium but it was a low scoring day. It all came to one field goal to decide if the Vikings were going to win or lose. Basically what happen was it was the last seconds of the game, the score was 10-9 leaving the Seahawks still winning. It came down to the winning field goal, it was up to Walsh, but when he kick it, the laces were in on the football. The kick went wide left and wasn t even close on making it. It was a miracle to the Seahawks and they manage to win where they will be facing the Carolina Panthers. Texans Well this game was a blow out game, the Kansas City Chiefs score thirty points while the Houston Texans score none. So yeah, there not really any explanation to be done. We ll I can say is good luck the Kanas City since next they are playing against the New England Patriots. Conference Round Playoffs The next round of the Playoffs will be the Conference round. Each year, the president claimed January 16 to be Religious Freedom day, and calls upon Americans to look at events, activities in homes, schools, and places to worship.

Religious Freedom Day: In 1786, the Virginia Statue of religious freedom, written by Thomas Jefferson. This religion is celebrated all over the world. Each year, the president claimed January 16 to be Religious Freedom day, and calls upon Americans to look at events, activities in homes, schools, and places to worship. The goal is to promote and protect kids who religious expression writes. Since we are at school, we should recognize Religious Freedom Day. Civil Rights Day: On January 15, we celebrate Civil Rights day. It was first created by New Hampshire in 1991, and proposed by John F. Kennedy. The last time it happened was in 2007, and the next time it will happen is in Some states choose to celebrate Civil Rights day as the same day as MLK day, also known as Martin Luther King Jr day. Civil Rights day is the day when people were the color of their skin, and gender. 5

6 David Bowie David Bowie died at the age of 69 on January 10, He died because of cancer. He was one of the most important musicians during his time. Teenage Years David Bowie was born on January 8, When David Bowie was in his teenage years, he had been inspired by a jazz band called London West End and that s where he picked up a saxophone and took classes with his tutor, Ronnie Ross. He played with the bands- The Kon-Rads, The King Bees, The Mannish Boys, and the Lower Boys. They gave him an introduction in to the world of pop. David Bowie had a huge transformation in 1966; and in that time, when you look at him, you would see him with long hair and goals of fame. Kenneth Pitt signed as David s manager. First Album David s first album was called The Man Who Sold the World and it was released by Mercury in April David took his first trip to the United States to promote his album. In May the same year David and Angela gave birth to Duncan Zowie Haywood Bowie. Albums and a Movie In the Mid 70 s 2 albums came out and showed clues of how David Bowie loved the U.S. music and sprinkled with a little bit of UK perspective. Not long after Young Americans released, David Bowie worked on a movie called The Man Who Fell To Earth. Then, after filming and completing the movie, David Bowie went back to creating songs in his studio. 77 to 80s David Bowie went to London and went up on stage playing the keyboard with Iggy in 77. Then David made a collaboration with Brian Eno and Tony Visconti and recorded Lows and Heroes. Then Bowie made another album called Let s Dance. Then they sold 7 million 6

7 copies. Let s Dance was the most successful album in David s life and the album also inspired many artists. His album produced by Chic mastermind Nile Rogers was probably the most straightforward album in his career. Most of the songs were radio hits. He made Heroes that was dedicated to his son and performed a duet with Mick Jagger. 90 s Then Bowie made a band called the Tin Machine. They had 2 millionselling albums. Then the Tin Machine broke up in 1992 and now they moved on. Bowie went on Sound and Vision and that was his first full greatest hits tour. David performed with Adrian Belew as lead guitar. In 1996 Bowie distributed the first downloaded song on the internet called Telling Lies. About 350 young Americans downloaded a copy. In 1997 he celebrated his fifteenth birthday with a performance at Madison Square Garden. He was joined by some of his old friends, Lou Reed, Sonic Youth, Robert Smith, Billy Corgan, Foo Fighters and Frank Black. They all played and sang with David and made it one of his most memorable shows s David was voted to be the most influential artist of all time by the UK s tastemaker tome the NME. Then another child was born with David and Iman and it was a baby girl named Alexandria Zahra Jones. Then on September 11 th David went to Madison Square in New York and he performed a short concert and an emotional one also. The songs that David Bowie sang led to a heartwarming reunion with Tony Visconti. David s friend Pete Townshend contributed to the album as lead guitarist playing Slow Burn. So some of the new songs Slow Burn and Away from Heathen got their airing in May 2002 in the Tribeca Film Festival Bowie released a new single named Where Are We Now released in March. The album, The Next Day was Bowie's 30th studio album and his first new album in 10 years. 7
