1 The district will partner with the public library, and students will participate in the Middle Georgia Regional Library Summer Reading Program (K-12). Students will keep a log which will be included in their reading packet. Some activities that are available include a STEAM Family activity hosted at the Washington Library each Saturday, Wednesday morning puppet shows, and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame will host movie nights for those who complete the summer reading. There is also an opportunity to partner with Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program (Cindy Daniel) as well. Students may use the MyON.com website to read books free. School Name: Get Georgia Reading Username: read Password: read High School High school students will read a total of 25 hours this summer. The Book Wizard app can be found at this link: Although students may choose to read whatever they want, the book must be within their Lexile range. In addition, suggested book lists for each level will be available at the schools in case parents need some direction in assisting students choose. ** Students may also choose free digital books through the public library.
