3 Make a big deal about small science! This interactive exhibition engages family audiences in nanoscale science, engineering, and technology. Guests can learn about the exciting real-world applications of this amazing technology in fun, hands-on interactive exhibits. For ages 8 13 and families. Zoom Into Nano was developed by the Sciencenter in partnership with Cornell University. The exhibition was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Jon Reis $60,000 includes technician for set-up 4,000 5,000 sf Inbound only 2 trucks Spin wheels and zoom into tiny structures and devices Build molecular models and giant carbon nanotubes Move your body to dissolve a crystal and stretch a virtual RNA molecule Onsite technician for installation Great for field trips An interactive entry point to this small, but highly relevant technology Everything on Earth is made up of atoms from the food we eat, to our own bodies Something as small as an atom is impossible to see with the naked eye Nanotechnology can make materials that have properties like higher strength or lighter weight 3

Through 16 stations of hands-on interactive exhibits about the smallest science, family audiences can learn about how nanobiotechnology impacts our everyday lives. 5 Dive into an underwater adventure! Ocean Bound! gives guests a unique and breathtaking introduction to the majesty of the ocean. Through the exhibition s combination of 65+ eye-popping aquatic species and ecosystems, high-definition video, and hands-on activities, guests can explore the ocean s vast diversity and come to understand our connection to it. Ocean Bound! was developed by the Sciencenter and funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA). Chris Kitchen $40,000 3,000 sf Inbound only 2 trucks Pilot a giant submarine in an immersive experience See dolphins, sea turtles, fish, horseshoe crabs, and coral reefs in HD! Make rain cascade down mountains, collect in rivers, and then flow to the ocean Great for field trips Guided tour management Timely environmental message Watersheds affect the ecosystem You can learn to recognize what makes a watershed healthy Science can help improve watershed health 7

6 $22,000 How do we move things on land, sea & air? Explore the exciting world of movement on land, sea, and air. Through 20 hands-on interactive exhibit stations that include a hovercraft chair, an interactive canal lock system, pneumatic air tubes, pulleys, levers, and hydraulics, guests can learn more about the science of how we get from here to there. From Here to There was developed by Rochester Museum and Science Center and TEAMS Collaborative, and funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). 2,000 2,500 sf Inbound only 1 truck Float on a hovercraft chair Send colored balls zipping through air tubes Lift and move heavy loads with pulleys, levers, pneumatics, and hydraulics Highly interactive exhibits you make it move Guided tour management Education kit with build-yourown hands-on activities Gravity and motion affect transportation Simple machines help us accomplish work faster and more efficiently People can leverage the principles of physics to move aircraft, vehicles, and vessels 9

7 Explore the science of what s biting you! Learn about mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, leeches, and other bloodsucking parasites in this skin-crawling exhibition. Through 12 icky exhibits, guests learn the what, why, who, and when, of how parasites live, work, and play. Attack of the Bloodsuckers! was developed the Environmental Exhibit Collaborative (EEC!) and funded by Jane s Trust, Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and the Cabot Family Charitable Trust. $20,000 2,000 2,500 sf Inbound only 1 truck Twist yourself into knots when playing the TwITCHer game Measure CO 2 levels in your breath Learn about the life cycle of live mosquitoes (safely contained in escape proof tubes) Great for field trips Recently updated with new graphics! Sponsorship opportunities with doctor s offices, hospitals, medical suppliers Bloodsuckers are integral to ecosystems around the world There are many types of bloodsuckers, such as insects, arthropods, and even birds Bloodsuckers need blood meals to survive and reproduce 11

This multi-sensory exhibition introduces children and adults to the science of sound waves and frequencies by encouraging them to make noise, whether it s conducting an orchestra with your whole body, screaming at the top of your lungs in the Scream Chamber, or making a movie soundtrack. Sonic Sensation was developed by the Sciencenter. 9 Hold on tight & feel how the earth shakes! Hold on tight! Get ready for earthquakes and tsunamis! Through eight earth shaking interactive exhibits, family audiences will explore the seismic science that s shaped Earth s evolution and continues to impact our lives today. When the Earth Shakes was developed by the Sciencenter and funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES). Gary Hodges $19,500 includes technician for set-up 1,200 1,400 sf Inbound only 1 truck Replicate the motions of real earthquakes by jumping to make your own seismogram Launch waves in a 16-ft. long Tsunami Tank. Engineer and test structures to make them earthquake-safe on the Shake Table. Highly interactive exhibits you make it move Great for field trips Onsite technician for installation Earth s surface is made up of tectonic plates that are always in motion Constant shifting of tectonic plates causes earthquakes and tsunamis Building, testing, and improving structural designs can lessen earthquake destruction 15

In this exhibition, guests can trace out their plans on a gigantic Etch A Sketch and get a good look at the other mechanisms, mechanical parts, and electrical gizmos that make toys GO! Toys was developed by Montshire Museum of Science & TEAMS Collaborative, and funded by National Science Foundation (NSF). $18,500 1,500 sf Inbound only 1 truck Test out your manual dexterity on a gigantic Etch A Sketch Discover what makes jack-in-the-box jump! Create and test your own intricate gear system Potential for tinkering programmatic tie-ins Great for field trips Guided tour management A circuit is a path that electricity can follow Simple machines like gears and pulleys can help accomplish work faster and more easily Cams and linkages can be used to change the direction and/or speed of motion 17
