2 Welcome to the Great Northern Firework 2007/08 catalogue Hello and welcome to our 2007/08 catalogue covering our whole range of fireworks, including lots of new pieces for this season. If you would like to take advantage of our special offers but don t need the fireworks delivering just yet, then why not take advantge of our free storage service. We will happily store your fireworks in our ex WW2 explosives magazines until you are ready for them. All you have to do is let us know the details when you pay for your order. One thing that we are getting asked a lot is: Can I buy and let off fireworks all year? YES, it is legal to buy and use fireworks all year round after 7am and before 11pm (later for Bonfire Night and New Years Eve). We hold an All Year Round Licence issued by the West Yorkshire Fire Service, not all firework retailers have this, that s why some shops are only around for 3 weeks a year... All our fireworks have been tested to British Standard BS7114 Part 2:1988 and are classified as Display Fireworks with a recommended viewing distance of 25 metres. Delivery and Collection All delivered orders are subject to a 20 delivery charge (UK Mainland) If you live North of Aberdeen/Scottish Highlands please call prior to placing your order as prices and delivery times will differ. When you place an order we will allocate a week near your display date for delivery. Your fireworks will arrive during this week and require either a signature or an alternative dry and secure place to leave the fireworks (chicken shed, garage etc) Alternatively you can collect your order from our Leeds showroom which is open all year round. We carry our full range in stock at the showroom but pre ordered fireworks are stored in one of our secure explosives stores and will need bringing in to the showroom for you to collect. 3 Monster Fireworks Chariots of Fire In 2006 there was only one firework you had to have, Chariots of Fire. Firing side to side starting with a tremendously fast run of red comets to super loud crackle comets before changing again to a thick moving wave of blue to pink to red to purple which violently sways then erupts with a volley of even louder crackles then glittering comets. Next comes a hit of blue tailed reports which break to massive blinking coconuts. Now for the pre-finale and cue the wows as both sides of the cake fire simultaneously producing a fantastic huge bright blue V shape (that looks like something off Poltergeist) before the gigantic 13 shot finale of silver gold crackling coconuts. Truly inspiring! Rainbow Explorer Turbo Box Last year saw the introduction of a new breed of firework really big and really fast! This year we have a new piece to amaze you, the Rainbow Turbo Box. This monster fires massive alternating rows of silver, red & blue strobes from left to right and back again creating an enchanting coloured moving curtain in their wake until the finale of strobes and crackles totally fill the sky. An awesome firework. 20sec Coliseum Another brand new effect for this year, but this time think big and tall 100 shots giant crackling white comet tails break to massive lemon crossette bursts with red tips then an even quicker firing of giant bursts in pink, lemon and lake blue all with crackle creating what can only be described as a giant dandelion. Huge, quick and absolutely brilliant. 37sec The Roman Myth Think an angry Cesar and his army on steroids this firework is that fierce. Now one of the most requested fireworks we sell and a leader in its field, this thug of a firework releases 100 huge shots of multicoloured mines which create massive, funnel like waves that blast upwards in rapid succession. These are met by enormous peony and chrysanthemum bursts above in red, green, blue, purple, silver and gold. Getting faster and faster you ll be in awe as The Myth fires an instantaneous finale of 9 shots which completely fills the sky. Crackling Palms Want a firework that does exactly what it says on the tin well here it is! Another gigantic piece but this time in a V shape which means it fires an incredibly wide display. 7 big 28mm shots are fired together creating a display from the ground to 100 feet. 5 Monster Fireworks Wonderwall This is the firework effect of 2007, imaging Sydney Harbour Bridge on Millennium Eve and you have a miniature replica. A mass of long gold to silver glittering streaking mines rise as red bouquets break to timed rain in perfect sync above. More sets are to follow in green, blue and fabulous orange. An amazing firework that has absolutely nothing to do with two hairy fellas from Manchester. 28sec Neptune s Trident shot 28mm. Fires from 3 places at once creating a monstrous sized aerial trident. 3 shot red tailed centre stem and two twin shot blue tailed outer stems then break to awesome red and blue cauliflowers. The centre stem also throwing up a crackling cloud. Seven sequences in total and truly a firework to be seen with! 28sec Golden Flute Sounding like the next Harry Potter movie this 120 shot angled cake fires in a Z pattern from left to right. Firing screaming flutes out on silver swirling dragons tails in rapid succession over a sea of golden mines with dragon egg tips. An absolutely stunning firework in every way. 35sec Flutterby Invasion This must be the very best new effect to come out of China this year. Firing 60 slow rising blue tails, bursting to long lasting silver butterflies which then come to life and spin up before slowly frittering downward in a mist of silver and blue stars. 40 shots one after another, speeding up to the two finale swarms of 10 shots each. Very, very different and makes a lovely fffrrrrrr noise. 50sec 30sec Vegas Nights New this year and inspired by one of the most exhilarating places on earth. Just like Sunset Strip this firework has everything. Starting with slow to quick bursts of orange, pink and red crackling clouds then rapid fires on an angle creating an eye-blinking display. If this wasn t exciting enough it then fires a wide and high blue and white V shape which bursts at the top into chrysanthemum crackles. A huge brilliant white W shape takes over and a riot of pink, red and orange confetti explodes above followed by turbo fired shots from left to right, a chain of white and blue breaking to almighty aqua coloured peonies. The finale is two volleys of 5 red comets bursting to giant red and golden crackling clouds. Louise personally recommends this firework. Land of the Dead Another new firework for this season and a best seller in the making. Land of the Dead fires one of our most popular effects streaking mines. Creating a gigantic upwards moving wave of blue and gold mines as superb dahlia bursts break high above to gold and blue glittering streamers. Firing faster with each row it looks not unlike Old Faithful (a geothermal well in Yellowstone National Park, but you knew that already) with its great release of blue and white before a huge double finale of white crackling clouds. 65sec 3

6 Really Large Fireworks 45sec Golden Crackling Crossettes A classic firework, this big 64 shot barrage fires giant comet tails that burst at over 100 feet into a mass of golden breaks. Each break then splits 4 ways across the sky thus making the crossette. If that wasn t enough it then finishes with a big, golden crackling finale. You really can t measure the pleasure with this firework. Hong Kong Nights Brand new this year and already looking like a winner, the 61 shot Hong Kong Nights is a hefty firework with an even heftier payload. Fired in ever quicker volleys of thick swirling tailed red comets bursting to pink, green, lemon and orange crackle peonies. Throne That s Throne as in King, not the porcelain small room type throne! New this year, and unusual in both looks and performance. Shaped like a dwarves staircase, the Throne fires a variety of effects from each of its steps. Starting with big whistling missiles which scream to the sky on swirling dragon s tails, as it rises up the staircase the pace accelerates, releasing break after break of big crackling confetti bouquets.
