3 CALIBRATION AT NARDA (PFULLINGEN, GERMANY) Accredited calibration (DAkkS) is available as well as factory calibration for many products. The table below compares the two and highlights the differences so that you can more easily select the best calibration for your purposes. The result of the measurement is the calibration factor including the associated uncertainty. Calibration does not alter the object under calibration. Adjustment of the object under calibration ensures that its indication corresponds to a fixed unit value. Adjustment is normally performed for correction of a systematic measurement deviation. An adjustment makes it necessary to calibrate the object. 2 Make a back up of all saved data before a firmware update as the data may not be retrievable after the update. 3 The calibration factors that are determined are not applied automatically during measurement. 6 New Articles with Accredited Calibration The part number (P/N) of new articles with accredited calibration (DAkkS) is given in the data sheet for the particular product. The scope of calibration for these items corresponds to the details given above for the same model. Special calibration (COR) Consultation is available on request if the calibrations listed here do not meet user requirements; the feasibility and practicality of other calibrations can then be determined by agreement between the user and the calibration laboratory. Special calibrations require a formal offer from the calibration laboratory.
