This manual explains how to use and install the product in accordance with its intended use. If you are not sure, immediately contact a person with the required professional qualification WARNING: Unpacking the equipment Do not leave any part of the packaging within the reach of children or vulnerable adults EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION The AC power selector is an actuator used to switch between the various available sources of AC power, e.g. shore connector, generator, DC-AC power inverter. This unit manages a motorised switch to supply a 110/230 V AC - 50/60 Hz network from 2 AC sources. In the same size of unit, the output current can range from 40 to 125 A (different parts). It is managed by a PCB encapsulated in resin for reasons of insulation and safety during measurement and switching of 110/230 V AC mains voltage. FUNCTIONS For each input channel: Mains power is immediately detected and indicated by an LED and information is sent on the CAN network. The phase/neutral sequence is checked and any inversion is fed back to the CAN network. The voltage is measured by RMS value. The frequency is measured. 2

3 POWER SUPPLY The module is self-supplied by its AC inputs, which enables operation in degraded mode with no external DC power and no CAN network. If external DC power is available, the module is also supplied by the 12 V power supply available on the CAN network bus. The power supply for the motorised switch is selected according to the AC source available. Once a position has been selected, the selector does not consume energy to hold it (bistable operation). SOURCE SELECTION MODES The source can be selected locally using a pushbutton on the PCB. The source can also be selected manually, with a lever installed directly on the motorised switch. FEATURES In addition to its primary function, the selector also has: 4 LEDs providing information about the selector status locally A 4-position DIP switch used to select the module's address in the CAN network. The module also contains: A dry contact (max. 2 A) to start the generator (when the selector is set to 1) A dry contact (max. 2 A) to stop the generator (when the selector is set to 1) An octocoupled +/- input to inform that the generator is started (when the selector is set to 1). A connector can be used to connect a current sensor with 2 measurement ranges, -50/+50 A and -200/+200 A, to measure the current consumed at the AC output. The 12 V DC option also includes: Isolated voltage measurement of the generator starter battery A CAN connection to the multiplexed bus of the generator, if it has one. Perform connections or disconnections Make sure that the circuit breakers upstream of the selector are in the OFF position. Connect the generator control connection. Connect the voltage measurement and AC current measurement connection. Connect 2 CAN connectors to the SCHEIBER network. Connect the AC 1 and AC 2 line inputs with their connectors. For more details on connections, please consult "AC POWER SELECTOR - Start-up instructions". 7

8 USE CONTROL WITH NAVICOLOR DISPLAY In this example: the switch from generator to shore connector is made from a NAVICOLOR display. Here, on selector 1, the padlock indicates that the manual control lever is installed on the selector. Switching is therefore not available from the screen. 9 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE THE AC POWER SELECTOR DOES NOT WORK (CONNECTION WITH NAVICOLOR DISPLAY) 1 Perform a reset and a network scan from a NAVICOLOR display. If this does not solve the problem, go to Step 2. 2 Does the AC power selector appear on the NAVICOLOR display? Yes: Go to Step 3. No: Go to Step 6. 3 Is the padlock shown as on the following image? Yes: The manual control is activated. Go to the selector and remove the lever. No: Go to Step 4. *ACTUAL APPLICATION MAY DIFFER 4 Is the icon of the shore connector or generator blue? No: Connect the shore connector and set its circuit breaker to the ON position, or start the generator and set its circuit breaker to the ON position. 5 Check that the generator or shore current LEDS are on. Yes: Check operation using the grey or red pushbutton (depending on model). A pulse lasting a few seconds allows the selector to change state. If the selector changes state, the problem is with the CAN communication between the selector and the NAVICOLOR display. If it does not, the selector needs to be replaced. No: Make sure that the selector is connected to its 230 V AC source and that one of the 2 LEDs (red or green) is on. If not, replace the selector. 6 Make sure that the selectors are correctly allocated using the microswitches on the product. For example, the display screen below indicates that there must be two selectors. 10 8 If there are two selectors in the system, the on-board selector address must be: The air conditioning selector address must be: If the addressing is correct, go to Step 9. If it is not, address the selectors correctly. 9 Complete the following steps: Disconnect the 2 CAN cables from the selector. In their place, connect a 120 Ω termination and a flying lead. Connect the other end of the CAN cable to the NAVICOLOR display. Perform a network scan. 11 WARRANTY TERMS + AFTER-SALES WARRANTY SUBJECT: The company SCHEIBER warranties all its products range against failures or masked-failures according to the article 1641 and followings of the Civil Code. Repairs and replacement of the equipment during the warranty period do not change terms or time of this warranty which is of 2 years. Repairs and replacement of the faulty parts under warranty are made only on presentation of the invoice which certifies the warranty beginning date. WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY: This warranty can not be applied in case of misuse, wrong installation, repair by anyone else than a SCHEIBER authorised technician, damage arising from improper use (fuses replaced by another value), utilisation in an unsuitable environment or if the equipment has suffered from physical damages through handling, transport... It does not cover calibration or verification due to the normal age of the components. Warranty modalities: The equipment freight will be charged to the customer. If the returned equipment does not conform, our company considers it has the right to refuse the free repair and proposes an estimate. RESPONSIBILITY LIMITS: In any case, the company SCHEIBER will not be held responsible for direct damages or damages not due to the normal use of the equipment. In case of a dispute arising between the parties, the case shall be submitted to the French Right to the court specified by the company SCHEIBER. 11
