10 So Where Do We Need to Focus? No silver bullet Significant work needed to continue to improve the simulation engines, much progress over last decade but we can t simulate some significant processes -- eliminate work arounds Tools must support calibrating energy models with existing building performance data Interfaces need to further automate and simplify creating a building model to enable user to focus on analysis rather than creating model More embedded experts with preconfigured data yet transparency for the user but no Black Boxes!
