Engineered to satisfy the highest demands, the Levelflex guided radar and the highest quality bypass chamber have been combined to an innovative system setting new standards for the future.

3 FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLES [A] ADVANCED CHAMBER SYSTEM [ACS] [ B] AND NOW DOUBLY SO. [ A] THE BYPASS CHAMBER component is integrated into the pressure vessel. With the aid of two process fittings, a standpipe is mounted on the side of a tank or vessel. This direct connection ensures the exact same filling level in both the vessel and standpipe. [B] THE BYPASS PIPE incorporates a guided level radar system from ENDRESS + HAUSER. This system utilises high frequency microwave pulses conducted along a probe. Whenever a microwave pulse impacts on the liquid medium surface, a corresponding portion of microwave energy is reflected. By measuring the delay between the transmission and reception of the measuring pulse, the filling level in the bypass chamber can be determined in an exact manner. In addition to the measuring probe, the bypass pipe also incorporates a cylindrical float with built-in magnetic system. The concentrated magnetic field induced by the permanent magnet precisely indicates the actual fluid level in the standpipe. Passing through the standpipe without any physical contact, the magnetic field is then conveyed to the externally mounted display, recording and switching elements.
