Add Section A.J to provide the Ultrasound Waveform IOD A.J WAVEFORM INFORMATION OBJECT DEFINITIONS A.j.z Ultrasound Waveform Information Object Definition A.j.z.1 Ultrasound Waveform IOD Description This IOD is the specification of digitized sound acquired or created by ultrasound modality acquisition processes. Typical uses include Doppler audio, waveforms derived from Doppler audio, high resolution audio, and related phono input. A.j.z.2 Ultrasound Waveform IOD Entity-Relationship Model The E-R Model in Section A.j.1 of this Part applies to the Ultrasound Waveform IOD. A.j Number of Channels The value of the Number of Channels (003A,0005) in each item of the Waveform Sequence Item shall be 1 or more. 6 A.j Channel Source Channel Source Sequence (003A,0208) and Channel Source Modifiers Sequence (003A,0209) are TBD. Doppler can be real/imaginary components or audio separated by positive or negative frequency. Need defined terms for: each Doppler channel. Derived traces: mean, max, etc. Add terms for audio: dictation, phonocardiogram, etc. A.j Waveform Sample Interpretation The value of the Waveform Sample Interpretation (5400,1006) in the Waveform Sequence Item shall be TBD : SB, SS, UB, MB, or AB.
