According to the data necessary steps could be taken so that recurrence of accidents could be averted. I. INTRODUCTION IOT is internet of things in other words we can describe connection of all devices through a common platform called internet.in English internet is nothing but the platform to share and receive information s and things refers to physical things A recent survey says IOT market would hit to 3000billion by 2022.IOT can also make a big contribution to the following fields like Media,Agriculture,Energy Sector, Marketing etc.internet of things is a combination of physical medium plus sensor and actuators plus internet connection.the idea of creating a Smart City is now becoming possible of the Internet one of the issues that smart cities relate to are car parking facilities and traffic management systems[1]. Since many transformer burst happens during the month of summer because of low voltage and high power consumption.it be averted by real time monitoring of transformers using IOT 2. Existing system The distribution transformer is electrical equipment in power system which distributes power to the users directly, and its operating condition is important to the distribution network operators. The operation of distribution transformers underrated condition guarantees their long life. However, their life is significantly reduced if they are subjected to overloading, resulting in unexpected failures and loss of supply to a large number of customers thus effecting power system reliability. Overloading and insufficient cooling of transformers are the main causes of failure. The monitoring device systems which are presently used for monitoring distribution transformer exists some problems 3 EXISTING MODEL The existing system provides the same solution by interfacing PIC micro controller with GSM controller. Here all the values have been send to cloud but no artificial intelligence based counter action haven t done to provide solution.in this type all monitoring could be done by one person in remote location.the primary working of the microcontroller is used to compare the EPROM value with the current value.if there is any mishap in values it would send a notification to the end user.the major dis advantage in the model is that we can t able to monitor all the parameters using cloud 4 COMPONENTS USED A. TEMPERATURE SENSOR Often called as LM35.It has three pins VCC, GND, DOUT.A sensor needs at least 5v DC power supply to power on.it could be accomplished by from the first pin of raspberry in bcm type. Since it s a digital sensor it cannot be interfaced with raspberry, an ADC is needed.the average temperature of transformer is 55C.If its near 50 C it would send a notification to the user. B. CURRENT SENSOR It is also same as like of temperature sensor connection.it has three pins VCC,GND,DOUT.Vcc is given from XXX-X-XXXX-XXXX-X/XX/$XX.00 20XX IEEE 921

2 raspberry pi.incase excess or less current flows compared to a normal value.the data would be send to the Cloud. It is also used to find out the emf. C LEVEL SENSOR It is used to find out the amount of transformer oil present in the transformer.transformer oil is mandatory to suppress cornea discharge and it has excellent electrical insulation property.level sensor typically used to find out the amount of transformer oil present in the transformer.if its getting low it would end an info to the cloud.it has three pins as like of other sensors D GAS SENSOR Often called as MQ-2.It is used to detect any fire, burning an happening in the transformer.it is been connected as like of other sensors.in case fire happens intimation will be send to the end user via cloud. C. ADC In this proto type we are using MPC 3008.It has nearly 16 pins ADC controller.here (0 TO 7) port should be used to connect only sensors.the others pins vth,vdd,datain,dataout,gnd are been connected to the raspberry pi pins.the all four sensors have connected according to random ports from 0 to 7. G. CLOUD All the data have been send to the cloud using MQTT protocol. It uses mosquito protocol.any user can be be able to access it using user id and password.according to the cloud data all the actions could be taken.cloud helps us to know about real time data analysis of sensor value and it helps us to turn on and off the relay by virtual switch H. FLOW DIAGRAM D. RASPBERRY PI Often called as minicomputer.its latest version is equipped with many facilities as like of typical Microsoft os.it has nearly 40GPIO pins.only 26 pins could be used rest pins are allocated for vcc,gnd,uart.it could interface many 23 analog sensors and many digital sensors. Latest model b+ equipped many facilities like camera, audio out, Ethernet cable, USB Interface. In case sensors are been connected too fair a wifi module could be added to communicate with the raspberry pi E. TRANSFORMER It is as static electric device that transfer electrical energy between two circuits by electromagnetic induction. A varying current in one coil would produce emf.it has two winding primary and secondary winding.power could be transferred between the coil using emf.it is now interfaced with raspberry pi 4.0 WORKING MODULE A. BLOCK DIAGRAM The below diagram shows block diagram in hardware part and software part F. RELAY It is a kind of switch. Relay module often comes up with 8 channel.it should be powered up with 5v.The vcc,gnd, IN 1-4 are been connected to raspberry pi..many relay uses electromagnet to operate it. Here we are using two relay.one relay is used for controlling fan and another is used to put on the load supply which is further connected to the current sensor to monitor the flow of current 922

3 In case if there is an internet problem it would directly turn on the fan, if the temperature crosses the threshold point In this kit we have set 20 as threshold point The picture of the kit is given below B. WORKING All the four sensors temperature senor,gas sensors, level sensor, current sensor interfaced with the raspberry pi Current sensors senses the high or low voltage even finds out loss in the transformer Gas sensor detects gas and level detects the level of transformer oil.all the data have been send to the Raspberry pi using Ethernet port. The master mind or processer used is raspberry pie.here sensors could be connected wireless to raspberry pie via wifi module A java or python coding is loaded in raspberry pi to read the sensor values.some configuration should be established to enable spi interface, relay etc.the data obtained from the raspberry pi would be in the range (1 to 1023).We need to analysis the value for each sensors. The values are been send to cloud ICLOUDDATA.COM.With the help of user id and password anyone can see the real time monitoring of transformer With help of this proto type many accidents can be avoided In case the temperature reaches critical point with the help of relay it could turn on the fan it would cool the transformer The amount of current flowing through the transformer also could be altered with the help of relay It is all accomplished by relay controller in the cloud 6.0 RESULT With the help of MY SQL all data from the sensor have been send to cloud with a delay of 10 seconds.the above picture depicts sensors data in the cloud 6.1 RELAY OUTPUT In the cloud it have been provided with a virtual switch to put on and off the relay.the picture below depicts on/off terminal of relay. It is has been provided with 8 relay switch in the website.in case if the temperature of the sensors reaches its threshold point it would automatically turn on the fan 923

4 7.0 CONCLUSION The conclusion of the proposed system is that it could be intelligent in detecting faults in transformers and it could take some preventive measures to cool down the transformer. It also helps to intimate the amount of transformer oil present in it but counter action couldn t be done to solve it.
