1 TK20 Series Tank Controller Programming Guide: Version Date 05/12/2013 TK20 series is Entry-level & Plug-and-Play Controller for upgrading Heng-Long(HL) and TAMIYA RC tank into proportional radio control with decent sound. (specifications and design are subject to change without notice) Tank Personalization( Patent Pending) Settings oftk series board can be set by Configuration IR REMOTE. STEP 5: turn power off, remove jumper on J2, then power on and you are set. Function tables: Save current setting to PRESET 1: Pressnumber key "1" on TV remote to save Save to PRESET 1 1 flashes when setting is saved Save current setting to PRESET 2: Pressnumber key "2" on TV remote to save Save to PRESET 2 2 flashes when setting is saved *Once you've adjusted everything, you can push "1" or "2" to save current setting to PRESET 1 or 2. If you don't do this saving the board remembers the last settings.

So after pressing a programming button, the returned LED indicator flashes are not showing the current setting for that function, but actually flashing the correct amount of for the new setting you have just input for the function. For this reason, it's best to either remember each function's current setting, or write them down somewhere. If you accidentally change a setting for a function, you will have to repeatedly press the same programming button to cycle through all of that function's available settings to return to the original setting it was before you pressed the button the first time. When an unknown programming button on a remote is used on the board while in programming mode, the LED indicator will return the same number of flashes which represent the IR code it received. As an example, if your board does not currently have the Turret Damage Simulation function on it, when using either the remote's "Teletext OFF" or "[]" key, the LED indicator will flash 56 consecutively, rather than flash an appropriate 1-2 flashes for that function's valid programming settings.
