26 Where we began 2009 Mike Toth, Archimedes Palimpsest Project gave a paper at The Islamic Manuscripts Association Conference, Cambridge Discussions began as to how we might be able to work together CHICC is keen to work with partners to share lessons learned, so as not to reinvent the wheel each time Their project benefitted from a multi-disciplinary approach

Panel spectral properties are consistent from shot to shot and year to year Lumens/watt is stable Normal lifetime of up to 50,000 hrs Rapid switching times (< 50 µsec) allow pulse width modulation and precise exposure durations.

29 Megavision EV Lighting System Each light head is 19cm X 12cm X 5.2cm (7.4 X 4.7 X 2 ) The panels mount with standard professional light stand mounting studs Inside each panel are modules that are configurable. Panels contain 12 different spectral bands The panels are powered and controlled via a power pack with an integrated USB Hub A single USB cable from the power pack to the computer enables Photoshoot software to control multiple light panels
