COB (chip on board) generates the light evenly over the surface like that of incandescent lamp without double image. The light generated from the fitting with COB makes the subject look natural and clean while fitting with single- chip has double image. 7 AURORA Glare-control The glare-cut reaches 46 maximum, offering good glare control. The maximum cut-off which human can bear is 30 maximum at horizontal. Otherwise, glare is visible.the glare-cut off of Aurora is over 30. The glare is consequently well kept beyond the glare area. The series have MAX 1000lm at 87lm/w of light efficiency. Venus downlight uses advanced & high performance chip to achieve a color temperature of to 6000K with a color rendering index Ra > 80. Glare control Oscar has glare-cut angle as big as 32, which help take away the glare and stray light considering the fact that visual scope which human can bear is 30deg MAX, otherwise one will feel the uncomfortable glare Oscar adopts double reflector structure and LIGHT TOOLS optics design as well to reach high light output with few light staying in the reflector surface. Max glare cute angle is 32deg which helps control better glare. Odin optical lens delivers higher transmittance and more precise light distribution control than normal diffusion lenses. Application There is more than just one good reason to use the wall washer. It provides a solution for a variety of lighting tasks such as Room atmosphere : vertical illuminance levels make a room appear larger, creating a brighter and more pleasent atmosphere. Visual comfort : vertical illuminance levels facilitate looking around in the room, since the human eye requires less adaptation Sense of security: vertical illuminance levels facilitate orientation. Balance: mounted at some distance from the windows or on the opposite side, vertical illuminance levels provide a well balanced atmosphere to compensate for the high luminance levels of day-light. Saving energy: general lighting can be focused to and create zones in those areas where visual tasks have to be performed. Directing attention: vertical illuminance levels put the focus on vertical visual tasks such as those provided by shelves, retail or exhibition areas. The recommended levels of vertical illuminance depend on the application area in question: levels of approx. 175lx are suitable for offices, while in museums the level may vary between 50 and 200lx. And 200lx are ideal for shops. Design tips When designing a lighting solution, the following principles have to be kept in my mind. In order to illuminate walls uniformly, the distance to the wall should be about one third of the room height or slightly less. A shorter distance to the wall also reduces the risks of glare and improves lighting efficiency, but also decreases uniformly. To achieve uniform light distribution across the entire surface of the wall, the ratio of minimum and maximum level of illuminance of the wall should be at least 1:2:5. If the spacing between luminaires more or less coresponds to the distance from the wall, horizontal uniformity is achieved. To achieve uniform illumination of a wall by overlapping several light distribution area, at least three wall washers are required. 20
