The camera then produces a Pictmotion movie automatically, with pace and transitions determined by music and style ready for viewing anytime, anywhere on the camera s large, bright LCD. D-Lighting Only Nikon delivers the advantage of D-Lighting, a unique technology with the ability to rescue underexposed images or shots taken with excessive backlight. 12 Explanation of functions Effective megapixel resolution The number of pixels that actually make up the image captured by a digital camera. Images recorded with more effective megapixels will therefore contain a larger amount of image information, resulting in higher-level sharpness. See total megapixel resolution. Total megapixel resolution Not all pixels record a part of the image. Some are purposely masked off to receive no light, producing a reference value from which to calibrate light received by the effective pixels. The number of masked-off pixels plus the number of effective pixels equals the total number of pixels. See effective megapixel resolution.
