4 MOUNTING SERVICES 2 day turnaround An excellent option for printed images you wish to frame, display, or otherwise preserve, our mounting options provide you with eight different surfaces on which to have your prints mounted. Mounting services are for prints created by Richmond Camera only. Matboard (also available in Heavyweight): a standard, archival rag mat board also available in a Heavyweight option (twice as thick and more resistant to warping). Available in black or white. Foamboard: a 3/16 inch foam layer bonded between two layers of buffered, acid-free surface paper (archival). Available in black or white. Gatorfoam : heavy duty, extruded foam board bonded between two layers of Luxcell wood-fiber veneer. Available in black or white. Smooth Masonite: a tempered, wood-like, resilient hardboard panel with a smooth or simulated canvas texture. Styrene: a durable, plastic-like, high-impact substrate not susceptible to humidity-induced warping. 6 GICLÉE FINE ART PRINTS/UNSTRETCHED CANVAS 2 day turnaround Richmond Camera s giclée printing utilizes a high quality, 12-color process, printing ink directly onto the surface. Watercolor Prints can be mounted on any substrate offered in our Mounting & Texturing Services section. Unstretched Canvas Prints are coated with a water-based luster spray for durability. Canvas Prints can also be brush textured and/or mounted on Smooth Masonite board. Because the same individual process must occur to create each Fine Art Print, this option does not have a bulk or multi-copy discount. A rush order can be placed for this product by calling customer service for details. GALLERY WRAPS 4 day turnaround Each Gallery Wrap is giclée printed using a 12-color process on white, heavy, natural feeling canvas, free of brightening additives and other longevity compromising chemicals. The product is then luster sprayed for durability and stretched onto a frame with a depth of 1½ inches. 11 SCANNING SERVICES turnaround times vary We offer scanning services for photographs, negatives, and slides. Our technicians check for color density, dust, and orientation on all scanning orders. Additionally, we offer several resolution options to better fit your scanning needs and budget. All scanning orders have a $5.00 order minimum. Scanning Resolutions for Film Scans Film (includes negatives, transparencies, and slides) Standard Resolution Approximately 5MB per file once opened. Standard resolution scans are good for sharing and making prints between 4x6 and 5x7 in size. High Resolution Approximately 20MB per file once opened. High Resolutions scans are good for making prints up to 8x12. Professional Resolution Approximately 50MB per file once opened. Professional resolutions scans make prints up 30x40. Professional resolution scans are very large files which may open slowly on some computers. Scans from Cut Film Film 4x5 and larger is a custom scan. 12 SCANNING SERVICES (continued) turnaround times vary Print Scanning Services We all have cherished old photographs that have been handed down through our family. Scanning your old photographs is a fantastic way of protecting cherished family memories. Scanning also turns your photographs into a format that is easy to share and reproduce. Our print scanning services are divided into two groups- Prints 8x12 or Smaller & Prints Larger than 8x12 to 16x20. For prints 8x12 and smaller, we scan each print at 600dpi. For prints larger than 8x12, but not exceeding 16x20, we photograph each image and provide a 300dpi digital file. # of Prints 8x12 and Smaller Over 8x12 to 16x per print Custom Scanning We understand that some customers may have very specific scanning needs. If you have specific scanning resolution requirements, our custom scanning services might work best for you. By default, custom scans are 600dpi. If you require a specific dpi, please let us know when you submit the order. All custom scans will include a JPG and TIFF. Prints with significant texture or shine must be matte sprayed for an additional fee. (See spray pricing.) Please do not include the lockets when having direct copy prints for lockets made. For locket prints, the image must include an exact outline of the locket opening or a photocopy.
