2 JANUARY COMPETITION Topic: Open Entry Deadline: January 25h; Photos are always due by midnight on Thursday after the meeting. Judge: Sean Fitzgerald; Sean is a Texas-based nature and conservation photographer. Sean tries to create images that are simple, graphic, evocative, surreal and that in some way evoke a reaction, provoke an emotion, or tell a story. While his photographic subjects are widely varied, he is repeatedly drawn to nature and wildlife and the impact of man on both. 3 40th Annual Heard Nature Photography Contest For contest details and submission rules, click here: hotographers.com/ about-the-contest-1 Heard Nature Photography Contest 2018 SUBMISSION DATES: February 3-25, 2017 The Heard Nature Photography Contest predates the Heard Nature Photographers Club by several years. The contest began in 1978, three years prior to the club being formed. Soon after the formation of the club, the museum asked the club members to help with the contest and so began a long-lived partnership. A lot has changed since the very first print was judged. Today our contest is all digital and includes images from the very young to the, well, not-so-very-young. Take time to enter your images and be included in this outstanding event. Proceeds from the contest benefit the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. Please don t let this opportunity pass you by.
