STITCH EXPLANATIONS Flower-Drop Ch 9, (sl st, ch 5, sl st, ch 7, sl st, ch 5, sl st, ch 7, sl st) in 4th ch from hook; working back in opposite direction, sl st in next 5 ch. Base-Picot (Sl st, ch 3, sl st) in indicated base ch. Picot Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook. Picot-Join Ch 2, insert hook (from front to back) in ELdc of indicated Leaf, yarn over and draw through Leaf and loop on hook, ch 1, sl st in first ch of picot. Leaf Ch 4, (ELdc, ch 3, sl st) in 4th ch from hook. Leaf-Join Ch 4, yarn over, insert hook in 4th ch from hook, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook (2 loops rem on hook), insert hook (from front to back) in indicated Base-Picot, yarn over and draw yarn through picot and the 2 loops on hook, ch 3, sl st in same ch (4th from hook).. 3 STEP 1 Flower-Drops Row (RS): (Flower-Drop) twice, (ch 15, Flower-Drop) 8 times, Flower-Drop; working in back bars across opposite side of the chains between Flower-Drops, sl st in first 15 ch, (sl st in next 7 ch, Base-Picot, sl st in next 7 ch) 6 times, sl st in last 15 ch 11 Flower-Drops and 6 Base-Picots. Fasten off. STEP 2 Note: As the Leaf Row is worked, it is joined to the picots along one side of one Flower-Drops piece. Lay Flower-Drops piece on a flat surface with the RS facing up. Leaf Row (RS): Flower-Drop, ch 2, Leaf, ch 15, Leaf, ch 15, Leaf-Join in first Base-Picot of Outer Fringe, (ch 15, Leaf-Join in next Base-Picot of Outer Edge) 5 times, ch 15, Leaf, ch 7, Flower-Drop; working in back bars across opposite side of chains between Leaves and Flower-Drops, sl st in first 2 ch, (Leaf, sl st in next 15 ch) 8 times, Leaf, sl st in last 7 ch. Fasten off. STEP 3 Repeat Steps 1 and 2, attaching a 2nd Leaf Row to a 2nd Flower-Drops piece. STEP 4 Lay both Flower-Drops/Leaf pieces side by side on a flat surface with the RS facing up and the Leaf Rows in the center.
