Trim the excess fabric from the corner to approximately 1/4, and gently press toward the Purple. Make (24,56,96,128). A 2. iagonally stitch another 2-1/2 square of A on the lower right corner of the Step 1 units. Trim as before and press carefully toward the Purple. Make (24,56,96,128). 4. Using the Star Point units made in Steps 1-3 plus the e 4-1/2 squares, and 3 squares of, assemble (12,28,48,64) Wildflower Stars. Half are Purple and half are Red. Press gently.

Positioned exactly as shown, diagonally stitch a 2-1/2 square of across the upper left and lower right corners of 2-1/2 x 9-1/2 rectangle.

Watch the angle to diagonally stitch a 2-1/2 square of across the lower left corner of a 3 x 11-1/2 rectangle. Trim and press gently toward the Green. Make (14,22,28,32) for the outer edges.

4 4. Using the Star Point units made in Steps 1-3 plus the e 4-1/2 squares, and 3 squares of, assemble (12,28,48,64) Wildflower Stars. Half are Purple and half are Red. Press gently. They measure 9-1/2 square from raw edge to raw edge. There will be (4,4,4,4) 3 squares remaining for the outer four corners. e e 5. Watch the angle to diagonally stitch a 2-1/2 square of across the lower left corner of a 3 x 11-1/2 rectangle. Trim and press gently toward the Green. Make (14,22,28,32) for the outer edges. They measure 3 x 11-1/2 from raw edge to raw edge. 7. Being mindful of the angle, diagonally stitch a 2-1/2 square to the lower left corner of a 3 x 2-1/2 rectangle. Trim and press gently toward the Green. Make (4,4,4,4) for an end of each outer edge. They measure 3 x 2-1/2 from raw edge to raw edge. 8. Use all the pieces you ve made plus the f, g, and h 2-1/2 squares, as well as the four remaining 3 squares to lay out and assemble your quilt. Press carefully. 9. Watching the placement, attach the i Wildflower stripe borders. Begin and end at the 1/4 seam allowance at each corner, and leave an 8 miter tail extending. 10. Place a corner to miter on your ironing board, with the border that is lying horizontal extending to the right, and the one that is vertical on top of it and extending up. Fold the top extending border diagonally under and position so it is exactly on top of the one extending to the right. Once you are satisfied that the miter is correct, smash it with the iron. i i 11. Use a pin or two to hold the mitered corner in place. From the underside, stitch in the pressed crease. heck to see that it s correct and if it is, trim the excess from the seam to 1/4. Press these seams open. Repeat Steps 9-11 for each of the corners to be mitered. 12. Layer your quilt and prepare to quilt your masterpiece. We suggest outlining the Block units, adding a viney filagree in the open areas, and detailing the motifs in the borders and the centers of the large stars. 13. Bind with the J 2-1/2 strips, following the instructions with the Binding Miter Tool. There is also a video demo of this terrific tool at
