2 Running Header: THE COIN TRICK THAT FOOLED EINSTEIN 2 Abstract Magicians often use illusions to fool the audience into thing or act a certain way. But is it magician s illusions uses a trick to create the illusion. The illusion can trick the smartest of people through a simple method but how and when is it use. The magic trick call the coin trick that fool Albert Einstein has the illusion of make the one being trick believe that magician can somehow add to any amount of change to two dollar and thirty-five cents. The magic trick will test if the subject can be fool by the simple trick as well to see their reaction when the trick behind the coin trick is shown. The magic well be test on a hundr people all from UC Merc, the test will include teachers and students. The group will split up and take on twentyfive people and will change the amount for each five. By doing this will show what makes it work every time. The Coin Trick that Fool Einstein is a trick that is bas on algebra and performing. The magician goes up to a stranger and asks them if they will buy them a drink if they play a game with them The magician asks them to take out the change in their pocket, but Comment [13]: Mariana Abuan: This section should include how you got interest in this trick. If the subject agrees the magician will escort them to the nearest table and ask the subject to take out any loose change the person may have, if the person does not have any change the experiment can still be conduct. The magician will then ask the subject to place the loose change in the person s own hand and make a close fist around the coins to conceal the total amount from the magician. The person conducting the experiment will then say these exact words, I have the exact amount you have, plus two extra quarters, and enough left over to raise your total to two dollars and thirty-five cents. The subject might ask the magician how this is possible; since a magician never reveals his or her secrets the magician will say the only people who are capable of performing the trick is those who have super sonic hearing. The magician will then ask the person to rattle the coins he or she possesses and the magician will act as if he or she knows that amount of change the person has solely by listening. It shouldn't be instructions for a reader to do it confusion, the magician will ask the person to place all the change the person possesses on the table. The magician will then match the amount of coins the other person has with the coins from the original two dollars and eighty-five cents. Once the magician matches the amount of coins he or she will place that specific amount on the table along with two extra quarters and say, see I have the exact amount you have, plus two extra quarters. Next, the magician will show the person that the remaining amount of coins the magician has adds up to a total of two dollars and thirty-five cents. The person conducting the experiment will then write down how much change the subject had, the subject s name, where the experiment took place, and whether the magician was able to win the bet or not. If the magician was successful he or she has the option to boast and collect the bet, and if the magician fail he or she should be embarrass and hope the other person forgot about the bet.

5 Running Header: THE COIN TRICK THAT FOOLED EINSTEIN 5 Discussion Our research had some limitations; for example, the person conducting the coin trick could have incorrectly perform the trick, which might have affect the end results. Although having one hundr participants is a suitable number for the purpose of this experiment, increasing the number of individuals would have been beneficial because the amount of loose change a person possess would have largely vari. The location of the experiment was also significant because if the research was conduct at a person s home or Laundromat the chances of a person having more than two dollars and eighty-five cents is higher and this could lead to the trick failing. In the future, scientist can continue this research by having the two dollars and eightyfive cents compos of a different amount of quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. The person conducting the new experiment will be able to state whether the significance of the magic trick Comment [19]: Mariana Abuan: I am wondering if you should have been measuring for some aspect of social engineering here. If you're just doing this trick for the sake of proving if it works every time, why don't the four of you just sit around with a bunch of change and try it with different amounts (e.g., try it with.01, then.02, then.03..." lies in the total amount of money, in the total amount of each coin or both. The experiment can also be manipulat by increasing or decreasing the total amount of money the magician has, this will test how significant having two dollars and eighty-five cents is.
