Owen Charters is the president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.

5 Brenda Gainer is the Royal Bank Professor of Nonprofit Management and a Marketing professor at Schulich. Since 1996 she has been Director of the Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program. She holds a PhD in Administrative Studies, an MBA degree, and M.A. and B.A. degrees in History. Owen Charters is the president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada. Previously, he served as a Chief Marketing & Development Officer at MS Society of Canada, CEO of CanadaHelps, and has held senior roles with Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Foundation. He holds an MBA, and a Graduate Diploma in Nonprofit Management, both from the Schulich School of Business, York University.

6 Jonathan Hera is Director of Investments at Grand Challenges Canada. He holds an International MBA from Schulich, completed his political science undergraduate studies at McGill University, and earned a nonprofit leadership diploma from the University for Peace, Costa Rica. Geoff Kistruck currently serves as Associate Professor and Ron Binns Chair in Entrepreneurship at Schulich. His primary research interests involve social entrepreneurship and innovation on the part of forprofit and nonprofit organizations, principally within the context of poverty alleviation efforts in base-ofthe-pyramid markets. He holds a PhD in Business Administration, an MBA degree, and B.A. in Political Science.

7 President Sally Peter Sally is an International MBA student specializing in Social Sector Management. In the past she has co-founded and led a social enterprise for trafficked women in red light areas of India for three years. She has also done multiple projects for non-profit organizations and CSR. She has an educational background in computer engineering and project management. She is currently an Ecommerce Marketing intern at Canada Helps non-profit organization. Director of Finance Grace Hur Grace has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with focus on marketing from University of Toronto and is currently an IMBA student pursuing finance and strategy. With marketing background, she has worked in sponsorship & charitable donations programs, advertising and sales analysis, national Mail-In-Rebate program, and content creation for social media platforms at Epson Canada. Grace aims to make a difference through helping businesses in making sustainable and socially responsible practices. Vica President Lu Chen Lu worked as a regulatory compliance professional for more than 10 years in the FMCG industry. After graduating with a BE in Environmental Engineering, she started her career as a researcher in Unilever R&D Center and later moved to regulatory compliance. She realized that corporate social responsibility could deliver social/environmental impact with business resources and ultimately it would benefit in return the business, when coordinating the CSR programs. So, she decided to pursue an MBA at Schulich, specialized in Social Sector and Finance and aims to work in social impact investing. Undergraduate Representative Chris Adjei-Bediako Chris is a 2nd year undergraduate looking to specialize in Finance. He currently runs a nonprofit program for high school students in his community (Etobicoke/Rexdale) called Angel Library and works with The Grammaticus: Academy of Philosophy & Innovation, one of AMEX and Ashoka s top 20 Canadian Emerging Social Innovations in 2015, in a strategic capacity. He hopes to continue to be active in his community through starting social organizations/initiatives focusing on youth in particular and/or philanthropy.

Director of Board Relationships Matthew Schroeder After graduating with a BSc in Biology, Matthew began his career as an intern at a high-tech start-up.

In 2015 Matthew was one of 50 young Canadians to represent Canada globally at the YouthfulCities Summit in Toronto. Matthew works full-time for his family s consulting firm Schroeder & Schroeder Inc.

He has an undergraduate degree in Marketing Management. He has worked in online display advertising and finance.

He plans to apply his marketing communications and event management skills towards creating socially responsible initiatives.

8 Director of Board Relationships Matthew Schroeder After graduating with a BSc in Biology, Matthew began his career as an intern at a high-tech start-up. He was the inaugural Canadian director of Nexus Youth Summits. During this time he started and ramped up Nexus in Canada and hosted Canada s first ever Nexus salon. In 2015 Matthew was one of 50 young Canadians to represent Canada globally at the YouthfulCities Summit in Toronto. Matthew works full-time for his family s consulting firm Schroeder & Schroeder Inc., and also serves on the Board of Global Education Ministries Canada. Director of Sponsorship & Partnership Sivajan Gunasingam Sivajan is a full time MBA student specializing in Brand Management. He has an undergraduate degree in Marketing Management. He has worked in online display advertising and finance. He recently started assisting a Children s Home in Vavuniya, Sri Lanka through raising awareness and funding for orphan sponsorship. He has experience with e-commerce and social media. He plans to apply his marketing communications and event management skills towards creating socially responsible initiatives. Director of Marketing Basra Hassan Basra has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from York University. She has 3 years of diverse, global marketing experience in managing promotion initiatives for a diverse portfolio of custom designed products as well as brand management for multiple products. She is currently crafting a new marketing and social media strategy for a Toronto based company in order to enhance brand value and increase profitability. Her social work experience in Pakistan is related to working with children in a Cancer Research Hospital. She is currently a full time MBA student at Schulich and hopes to evolve as a Social Impact Entrepreneur. Director of Programs & Events Kritika Kuppuswami Kritika has an undergraduate degree in Economics, a masters degree in Marketing Intelligence, and is currently pursuing a full time MBA at Schulich with a focus in Strategy. Through her work in nonprofit organizations, she has gained experience in organizing and executing marketing campaigns. Her degree in Marketing Intelligence helped her to identify target market segments and devise strategies to tap into them. Her aim is to combine her passion for social service and knowledge of data analytics, and apply them to business strategies in corporations around the world.
