2 MANAGEMENT TEAM With over 45 years in the automobile business, John L. Mitchell, Sr., serves as President of Mitchell Automotive Group. His leadership style takes on a family feel, and as a result, employees exhibit loyalty and pride in their work. This loyalty and strong work ethic has led to multiple President s Awards from Nissan, Mazda, Lincoln-Mercury and Toyota. John was also awarded the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award for Alabama and has served on the National Dealer Advisory Board. He is a long time member of the Automobile Dealer Association of Alabama, where he served on the Board of Directors for seven years and Chairman for one of those years. Through this association, he is on the Board of Trustees and served as President for two years for the Worker s Compensation Self- Insurance Fund. He served on the Regional Dealer Board for Mazda and the Southeast Toyota Distributor Dealer Council, as well as serving two terms on the Nissan National Dealer Advisory Board. As a Vietnam veteran, John actively supports his local military through Fort Rucker s chapter of the Association of United States Army. As a member for over 15 years, he served on the Board of Directors for 5 years. John also sits John L. Mitchell, Sr. on the Military Stability Foundation Board for the state of Alabama as well as the Board of Directors/ Executive Committee for the Army Aviation Museum Foundation. Recognizing the importance of community to the success of his business, he devotes time to serving the needs of the Wiregrass area. In the past, he enjoyed sitting on the Board of Trustees for the Coffee County United Way and the Wiregrass United Way. He has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years and is a past chairman. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Trinity Bank and the Board of Trustees for both Enterprise Medical Center and Enterprise State Community College Foundation. He and his businesses have been corporate sponsors of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Buddy Walk and local performing arts. He is also an active member of First Baptist Church. John Mitchell leads by example and his employees understand how important it is to give back to the community. Through this leadership, his businesses have seen great success and continue to serve the area well with quality products, excellent customer service and a solid commitment to the community. John L. Mitchell, Jr. A talent for the automotive business was passed on to John L. Mitchell, Jr., who currently serves as corporate Vice-President of Mitchell Automotive Group and General Manager of Mitchell Nissan. With 20 years in the industry, he has worked in every department at the dealership, becoming a savvy businessman and leader. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and also is a graduate of the NADA Dealer Academy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Automobile Dealer Association of Alabama. John is also very active in his community where he sits on the advisory board for State Bank and Trust as well as the City of Enterprise Water Board, and the Executive Board for the Chamber of Commerce where he served as chairman for two years. He is a past member of the Wiregrass Economic Development Board. John is an active member and deacon at First Baptist Church. E. Carey Slay, Jr. E. Carey Slay, Jr., serves as Co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of Toyota of Dothan. He began his retail automotive career with a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance as well as a Masters of Science in Personnel Management, both of which have served him well. He not only serves as Toyota of Dothan s C.F.O., but also holds the same position with another local automobile group which retails Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and Mazda products; his ability to serve two corporations simultaneously is rare. He holds a unique milestone of overseeing over $1 billion in sales in his 24 year career. Carey has received numerous awards for financial excellence including the Comptroller s Award for Excellence from Toyota Motor Sales, USA for eleven straight years. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Trinity Bank, a local community bank, where he was an initial organizer and director. Carey serves with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Buddy Walk and is the past chairman of Wiregrass Children s Home. He is an active member of Harvest Church in Dothan, where he serves on the Daniel Council and teaches various Bible classes. Keith Diamond As the newest member of the Mitchell Automotive Group, Keith Diamond brings 16 years of retail automotive experience. He serves as Director of Finance & Insurance, Compliance and Training. Keith has 13 years of expertise gained from serving as a Regional Manager for an international training and consulting company. His experience in training salespeople, sales managers and F&I managers has produced positive growth in the company. Keith s goals include increasing sales efficiency, enhancing legal compliance, improving customer service and strengthening relations with manufacturers to increase market share. These professional talents are a tremendous asset within the Mitchell Automotive Group. Bob Schoenfeld Bob Schoenfeld has served the Mitchell Automotive Group as Fixed Operations Director since He brings experience from several different automobile lines as well as a strong management style. Bob is a Master Certified Service Manager for BMW, Porsche, Isuzu and Lincoln. He served on the BMW Roundtable Committee and the Steering Committee for Volvo Cars of NA. Prior to working for Mitchell Automotive Group, Bob successfully owned and operated a Fixed Operations Consulting business. He holds an Associate s Degree in Business Management and is a Mike Nichols Inventory School graduate.
