Finnish companies will receive market entry support from an all-star team of hand-picked Vietnamese professionals.

6 TMT & ICT Financial Services Retail Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bien Education: MBA, International Business, and Telecom Management - Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California, US Current Position: Founder at NNMT ADVISOR Mr. Nguyen was born and raised in HCMC. He was lucky enough to continue his higher education in the US in the early 2000s. Starting his career as a system engineer, Bien has played an active role in several cross-functional projects in emerging industries. He was given and challenged with several roles regarding strategic management, new market development, governance - risk management - control, and corporate development (M&A). Bien is interested in the nature of work that allows countless challenges and that gives him opportunities to go out of his comfort zone and to frequently touch base on fundamental questions. It seems that the area of non-organic growth, to Bien, is the most interesting till date. M&A and strategic partnerships professions are indeed his life saver and career challenger. Bien is married and a father of two children, Ben and Bi. He is a seasoned independent guide. Mr. Nguyen s most recent experience is to assist a Malaysian company to pursue Vietnam market access through a strategic private equity investment (including obtaining proper investment licenses in a restricted sector) followed by a shareholder buy-out and effective integration to generate synergy among the group's investees in SEA markets. He participated in the entire process, from preparing top level relationship to closing the transactions. Bien was hired as an advisor to CEO of a local retail bank which had strong desire to seek strategic investors who could help improve the bank's performance in the long term. He was part of the bank s Strategy Committee who were tasked to transform the bank to the next level of development from a pioneer in banking technologies and products. Bien jointly managed partnership issues in a JV between two network operators from South Korea and Vietnam. He learned many lessons from such failing relationship.

7 Mr. Dinh Van Binh Education: Master of Public Finance -- Harvard Kennedy School and Ho Chi Minh University of Economics Current Position: Vice president, Regional Director of Business Development at Techcombank Binh got Master of Public Policy granted by Vietnam Fulbright Scholarship. His experience has stretched in senior managing positions in banking, investment, hospitality industries. In the banking industry, Binh was in charge of both national product and sales team and has led a few key projects on Business Banking business model & strategy, MPOS, SCF, Retail Financing, etc... advised by McKinsey. He is also a freelance - based consultant on Vietnam banking industry of 3 international professionals networks based in Singapore, Hongkong. Besides, actively joining pro-bono programs such as SME mentoring & networking (#1 in startup mentoring), YSEALI (an initiative of former President Obama), Binh is contributing to help startup's founding fathers & young leaders in their business issue & personal development. Now, he is Regional Head of Business development in Techcombank and also a co-founder of biggest Street Cafe Franchise with nearly 40 franchisees in Vietnam. His main experience is in Financial Services, especially in Corporate Banking, SME Banking at 2 among biggest banks in Vietnam. He led a national team of product and sales to do customer insights, segmentation, building products and has brought many financial solutions to many corporations in different industries. Binh led a few SME s strategy project and key strategic initiatives advised McKinsey. Besides, as a formerly investment Director, he directly managed few companies in Tourism & leisure, Investment, Asset Management, Construction. 8 Education Computer & Electronics Mr. Tran Vu Binh Education: Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science -- RMIT University, Australia Current Position: Information Management, Director Bình has assisted a number of businesses in their creation, including activities such as corporate restructuring as well as creating innovative products. He has contributed to the success of the newly established and very dynamic and innovative Hoa Sen University in the last 10 years. Before joining Hoa Sen University, he helped to develop Quang Trung Software Business Incubator, one of the first incubators in Vietnam designed to assist IT start-ups. He is currently a management consultant for a few education groups in their digital transformation. Bình has brought lean startup principles into each and every facet of his training, curriculum development, and consultancy. These principles help people who have engaged with him via an iterative and validated learning cycle, allowing them to scale up their work in a more sustainable way. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, and a PhD in Computer Science for Expectation, Observation and Attention Logics from RMIT University, Australia. Bình has played the role of a system architect and strategist in building more than 30 either software or business systems in various industries (F&B, ecommerce, banking, HR recruitment, communications, and education). Working with different types of projects from 1-20 million USD, Binh has managed 90% of these projects to deliver on time, on budget and enabled the highest engagement from all stakeholders. As an entrepreneur, he himself has founded two businesses and facilitated 10 other start-ups in Australia, Vietnam, and Malaysia, 7 of these are still growing profitably. From the practical experience, Binh has brought the entrepreneurship spirit into higher education and corporate training, nurturing the future generation for more than 15 years. 9 Mr. Le Viet Dat Education: B.S. Corporate Finance -- National Economics University Current Position: Project Manager at Saigon Innovation Hub Dat started working on social impact since designing new projects on climate change and youth development. In 2012, he found out about innovation, entrepreneurship, social startup and all the possibilities that they might bring; and have been supporting and building the ecosystem for them ever since. Now, he is working on public administration programs to support the ecosystem in HCMC, and is moving into impact investment. Dat wants to open a summer camp in Asia that focuses on character-based education. He also works in the summer for Robin Hood Camp in Maine, U.S. where he applied gamification into the camp's daily activities. Dat loves reading books and traveling on foot. In his last trip, he walked and hitch-hiked along the coastline of Southeast Asia for several months. He also enjoys practicing violin and doing 10K as his pastimes. In 2012, Dat cofounded and spearheaded HATCH! VENTURES from zero to a respectful innovation catalyst in Hanoi. He was there for 3 years pioneering several programs to support the startup and the social innovation community, and frequently to combine the twos. Some of his projects got granted by GFDRR (World Bank), SEATTI (an Indonesian NGO), Tigers@Mekong (an U.S. Department of State's initiative) and eventually by IPP for his startup acceleration model. He was blogged as one in ten faces to meet to know about the ecosystem in Vietnam in Now, in Ho Chi Minh City, he is working for Saigon Innovation Hub a governmental entity supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. 10 Business Service Financial Service Ms. Bui Thi Huong Giang Education: Master of Business -- Swinburne University of Technology Current Position: Founder and Director of AT Group Giang is a creative and highly committed marketing consultant, with a can-do attitude and a strategic thinking mindset. She always challenges herself for a better solution, and that has to be the most innovative one. Besides networking and matching for companies across nations strategically, she also is an active team leader to perform several Marketing projects, range from Market Research, Branding, Distribution channel development and CRM utilizing IT platform. She believes that LISTENing and respecting mutual interest can initiate a long-lasting partnership. With Master degree in Marketing and 10+ years experience in VN market across multiple industries such as tourism and retail, Giang is a consultant that has both academic knowledge and hand on experience. 11 Mr. Nguyen Giao Hoa Education: PhD. -- University of Utah, Department of Chemistry Current Position: Lecturer at Hoa Sen University Hoa s background is in chemical engineering. He is a proud fellow of the Vietnam Education Foundation which generously funded his Ph.D. training in the US where he focused on using computational techniques to explore novel properties of zeolites. After his training abroad, Hoa has been working for a few universities and also for the private sector. His interests are manufacturing, computational engineering, and education. Hoa participated in consultant projects for factories in Southern Vietnam and educational projects for technical institutions of the country. He also led research projects for vocational education training innovation. Hoa is an avid reader and a formidable tennis player. Hoa is currently a lecturer at Hoa Sen University. Hoa was among the first E&I consultants graduated from IPP ToT1 Program in He worked as a freelance consultant for some projects by Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) and International Labor Organization (ILO); instructor at Vietnam-German University, and evaluator for a collaboration between Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises (NHO). He used to work as the country manager for HEEAP representative office (a project by The Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology and Arizona State University), coordinating training for Vietnamese faculty in the US. With more than 10 years of experience in private sector development, she has developed a wide network which includes companies in many different business lines, industrial associations to governmental agencies, ministries, local authorities. Their clients and mentors work in agriculture, IT, food processing, trade, biotechnology, environment-friendly technologies, education, IOT, laws, logistics, etc. Their partner organisations include Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi Business Registration Office, Department of Information and Communication of Hanoi, National Academy of Science and Technology. One of their main activities is business matching. They are aiming at helping entrepreneurs to expand their network, connect to their potential partners, suppliers, customers.

13 Mr. Truong Thanh Hung Education: Master degree in International Business Administration -- IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems in Austria. Current Position: Co-founder/CEO of FiNNO Venture and also the Co-founder/Deputy Director of the Centre for Sustainable Production and Consumption. Hung has more than fifteen years of work experience in both development and business sectors. As a senior practitioner, trainer and consultant with great concern for the development issues in Vietnam, he has worked for several donor-funded development projects related to capacity building and SME/start-up development. Besides, he also used to be in charge of running a foreign invested company since its first launching in Vietnam. Hung is one of the twelve Innovation Consultants of IPP. He used to be the Lead Coach for the Da Nang Startup and Innovation Ecosystem Development project and now an Advisor for the Coordination Council for Startup Networks in Danang. In addition, as a Trainer/Coach, Hung has been delivering a series of training programs on Entrepreneurship and Innovation for hundreds of university lecturers, mentors, entrepreneurs and startups around Viet Nam. Mr. Hung Truong has involved in several development projects, in which three projects were funded by Finland where he was in charge of supporting the development of SMEs in different areas in Central Vietnam. He also has extensive experience in managing a company invested from overseas right from its launch in Vietnam which helps strengthen his capability in facilitating foreign direct investment and market penetration into Vietnam as well as related procedures for foreign company registration and operation in Vietnam. In addition, Mr. Hung Truong has expertise and experience in establishing FMCG distribution system and delivering entrepreneurship and business management consultancy. Minh is currently the Managing Director & Co-Founder of KisStartup -Innovation consulting, coaching and mentoring which was founded by Minh and her team in 2015 to introduce lean startup methodology to startup community in Vietnam; manager of SME Mentoring & Networking Hanoi for development of 1- on-1 mentoring to startup community Minh is among 8 Vietnamese entrepreneurs invited to participate in Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016, June 23-24, 2016 in Silicon Valley, CA, The United States of America. Now Nam is an entrepreneur and a key investment partner of Saigon Value Invest Corporation in venture capital and M&A.

17 Mrs. Nguyen Thi An Nhan Education: Master of Business Administration -- Hue University Current Position: Co-founder at CoPLUS -- Business consulting and investment/co-working Space Nhan Nguyen is now in her second business in Hue city, Central region of Vietnam. She is living with her family in a small village not so far from the city center where she can enjoy country life and engage with farmer community. Her hobbies are reading books, listening to music, travel, country life, and family discussion. After graduated from economic university in Business Administration major, Nhan worked for a law firm in investment and technology transfer consultancy in Ho Chi Minh city. After two years, she comes back home town to pursue the master degree and enjoyed in working for an investment consulting firm. She also enjoyed one year working for a French textile group, in which she developed projects and supported three factories of the group in Central region in applying ISO 9001, SA 8000 standards and obtaining the WRAP certificate. Nhan Nguyen experienced many roles, from market research specialist, project specialist, project manager, HRM, Quality system controller, legal assistant and investment consultant in 10 years working career. She has worked and provided consultancy service to more than 30 foreign investors in various sectors, for example agriculture, manufacturing (textile, seafood processing, wood processing) tourism, etc; more than 20 projects have been developed and went to successful business. Her own first business was in catering service with other two friends. In 2016, she and other two co-founders formed CoPLUS, a very first co-working space and the premier management consultancy in Hue and Central region of Vietnam. Australian Commercial Law -- Deakin University Current Position: Director at Conty Kimberly E-commerce Real Estate & Construction Phong is an entrepreneur and startup coach. He was born in the Mekong Delta town of Bac Lieu province, grew up in Melbourne (Australia), lived and worked extensively in New Zealand, USA, China, and Vietnam. He s got experience in a wide range of business from technology, goat farming, printing and packaging to fashion retail stores. He has passions in hiking, tennis and reading. He is married with 3 kids. He aspires to be the biggest goat farmer in Vietnam. As an entrepreneur, he firstly started a Transistor Clothing, which he grew to three stores and then sold. Afterwards, he started an international printing services company. Currently, he is managing his own e- commerce websites (mobideals.com.vn and bizdeals.net.au). He sets up and manages 3 foreign offices including one in Vietnam. Phong is one among 12 consultants graduated from IPP s Training of Trainer Program 1 on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ToT1) and provided coaching for IPP Innovation Accelerator Program in He has been doing consulting work and can speak 4 languages (Vietnamese, Chinese mandarin, Chinese Teichow and English). Also, he s quite a happy person in general. After a few years working in bank industry, he fellow some businesses to find his own voice. Some partners newly came to Vietnam successfully thanks to his association; namely Jingjay Taiwan Pvt. Ltd. for water-treatment, and Freilacke (Germany) for powder coating and e-coating products. Understanding the Asian market and clients, Phuong is hoping to bridge European companies with Asian market not only for business development but also help them to develop partnerships. 21 Mr. Tran Hung Thien Education: Executive MBA -- University of Hawaii at Manoa Current Position: Founder and General Manager at GCOMM Vietnam JSC Thien is one of the rarest Vietnamese researchers who has been spending his whole career life for the market research industry. With more than 15 years working with leading international market research firm, then starting his own research company, Thien has been providing market research service to a great number of firms ranging from small to big scale, both local and international.
