1 Steve Smart Chair of Governors Before becoming a Governor in 2014, I ran the School s PTA for 3 years. Outside school, I run my own business helping people get refused insurance claims paid and I am also the Non- Executive Chairman of Lancashire Insurance UK. I trained as a solicitor with the international Dentons and was the Legal Director in the UK for the insurer AIG for 10 years. I have served on a number of legal and regulatory bodies including the Bank of England s Financial Markets Law Committee, where I served as a Committee member under the former Lord Chief Justice, Lord Wolf. Andy Wright Vice-Chair of Governors Andy is the Vice Chair of Governors and has two children currently attending the College. He sits on the Resources for Learning committee and supports the independent governance of the school as the nominated Responsible Of@icer. Andy and his family have lived in South Bucks since 1995 and his day as a Project/Programme Manager working delivering technology orientated and business change projects and programmes mainly in IT and telecommunication sectors. Following university in London studying Computing science, Andy worked in the City of London and Sydney, Australia before returning to the UK. He enjoys local team sports and is a keen scuba diver when time permits. Debbie Dalston Chair - Safe Learning I am a parent of a year 7 pupil at the start of his journey at the Community College and feel passionately about education and the welfare of children. I have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection from my work in schools and the NSPCC. I have worked tirelessly for the last 7 years for various PTA s raising funds, providing resources and lifelong memories. My aspiration for the students at CCC is that they leave the school having achieved their full potential academically but are also well-rounded individuals able to contribute to their own community and society as a whole. I want to ensure that CCC goes from strength to strength in delivering high quality teaching that is not only academically brilliant but is also supportive and nurturing in a safe happy environment.

2 Dave Frewin Chair - Resources I grew up and went to school in Middlesex, before undertaking a Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship and then changed career path into Information Technology. I have led IT departments for a lot of my career, covering a number of roles in the pharmaceutical industry and more recently working for a major oil & gas organisation. I moved to Iver almost 20 years ago. Both my children have (one still does) attended the Chalfont Community College and becoming a Governor felt like a logical move for me in order to leverage the wealth of commercial and management expertise that I have for the bene@it of the College's current and future students and teachers. My professional background is varied with a mixture of corporate and educational positions, as well as running my own business. I have worked institutions and for large corporate companies, such as Barclays and Hewlett Packard. I also have experience working in a local authority nursery school and am currently working as a fully quali@ied School Business Manager at a junior school, covering HR, Finance, Premises and Health and Safety. Lisa Andrews I years of experience as a parent Governor at Primary schools and now at CCC. I am passionate about kids enjoying and making the most of their time at school. I believe that hard work and a positive attitude to learning can bring rewarding results, not only academically but in the development of pupils as responsible, con@ident adults ready to face the world. I have twin girls, both studying at Chalfonts Community College. I am the SEN Governor and serve on the Safe Learning for All committee. Jas Bhandal Appointed Governor I studied Applied Chemistry (Masters) at university and joined a government agency testing pesticides in food. I spent four years there and at the same time, studied further in information systems before joining a management specialising in HR. With over 20 years of experience I have worked with businesses nationally and internationally on a wide range of issues including business strategy, organisation design and leadership development. As a governor, I am committed to helping the growth and development of CCC and help all our students to achieve their full potential both academically and in

I retired from this role in 2013 having been a partner at PwC for 25 years. I became a governor at Chalfonts in April 2014, serving as Chair of the Finance Committee (now called Resources for Learning) until March 2015, then as Chair of the Governors until January 2016, Vice-Chair of the Governors until September 2016 and now as Numeracy Governor. David Cooke Member Governor I am married with three sons aged 16 to 21 and live in Little Chalfont. I have been a teacher at the Chalfonts Community College for 6 years having taught at The Beacons@ield School prior to this. In my time at the Chalfonts I have taught PE and Maths, whilst also having had the responsibility of acting as a head of year. I currently run the BTEC quali@ication for the PE department and I oversee the running of the BTEC quali@ication within the school. Duncan Fawcett Staff Governor I have been a governor since April 2016 and chose to become involved at this time in order to ensure that the views/interests of pupils and teachers are adequately represented on the Governing panel. I believe that the time I have spent at the school and my involvement in a wide range of areas within the school gives me adequate quali@ication to do this. Doug Humphries Appointed Governor I was Vice Principal at the school from 1990 until retirement in 2013 when I relinquished responsibility for Student Support; Safeguarding; Admissions; Pupil Premium and Timetabling. I maintained my links with the school by helping out with Geography and History trips as well as training staff in Timetabling. I was delighted to accept the invitation of becoming a governor and hope that my experience in education can help the school on its journey of continuous improvement. Outside of education my interests lie in sport, especially rugby and I am the chairman of my local rugby club. I have enjoyed meeting many former students in local rugby matches.

4 Samina Khan Steve Leybourne Staff Governor Patrick Makoni Member Governor Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach at the University of Oxford, I am responsible for admissions, access and student recruitment activity across the University, and acting as the public face on admissions issues for the media. Prior to joining Oxford, I worked in the commercial, public and third sectors for a range of education related organisations. I developed and implemented national policies on education and training for the Department of Education and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills. I have also worked for the regulators of national quali@ications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and worked for Edexcel Pearson as a Policy Advisor. I have represented the Examination Boards nationally as a Director for the Federation of Awarding Bodies and as a member of the Joint Council of Quali@ications. I am also a parent governor for two schools in Buckinghamshire, and still enjoy supporting anyone struggling with GCSEs or A levels in the sciences. I started my teaching career in the early eighties in north London. In 1984 I left George Orwell school (a date that is easily remembered!) to pursue a career in advertising. I started my own advertising agency Leybourne Brown Maclean in the early nineties and grew the business to employ over 30 people. In 2001 I decided to return to teaching and was appointed to the Senior Leadership Team of a school in Tower Hamlets. Four years later, a move to the South of France beckoned where we realised our ambition to learn a new language and develop a property. Two years later we returned to settle in Buckinghamshire. After a spell with UCAS dealing with London universities, an opportunity arose at the Chalfonts Community College to teach History. I became a governor to support the strategic development of the college, using my commercial and educational experience to bene@it students. I am married to Caroline, a school counsellor, and we have four adult children. I am a fully quali@ied Chartered Secretarial professional with a master s degree in Corporate Governance and Leadership (ACIS), which included modules in Corporate Secretarial Practice and Applied Business Law, focusing on the practical application of legislation such as the Data Protection Act, Health and Safety Act, EU Law and all aspects concerned with Governance. In addition I hold a BSc Honours in Finance, a diploma in Financial Services from the Chartered Banker Institute and diplomas in Project Management and Operations Management. I currently work as Board and Committee Clerk at the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. I recently project managed transition of the Board and Committees of St Mary s University from paper to e-governance using BoardPad where I worked as an Assistant Clerk to the Board and Company Secretary.

I then made the move the technology industry where I have spent well over a decade leading global teams within technology businesses as they undertake major change programmes.

5 I graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester having studied a degree in construction and technology. I then moved into the IT sector and had a lengthy spell heading up the IT organisation for a business unit of a institutions. Andrew Spear I was elected as a parent governor in 2016 and I m passionate about technology and the impact of the digital economy in general. I am keen to utilise my professional experience to ensure the students at CCC are equipped to cope with the challenges of the modern workplace. The world is changing at a speed that s never been seen before and therefore it s critical our children are ready for that challenge when they leave school. I moved to the area 16 years ago. I m married and have three children, two of which attend the college.

SET MEMBERS AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES Mr Peter Rout Chair of Trustees Peter has four children, all of whom have been educated at Wymondham College. He became a Parent Governor of the College in 1994 starting
