We would like to take this time to provide you with some further information and a few guidelines to assist you in your preparation. 7 Onsite Meeting All participants are required to meet in the Speaker Preparation Room (Thonburi Room) 30 minutes before the start of the session. Besides giving you the opportunity to meet the other session participants and session moderator, this allows our staff to identify all speakers and answer any last minute questions.

10 Louise Easterbrook, CFO, GSMA Louise Easterbrook is Chief Financial Officer of the GSMA. In this role, Louise is responsible for overseeing the business and financial performance of the GSMA, leading the company s corporate services functions, including finance, legal, HR, IT and facilities. Before joining the GSMA in September 2014, Louise was Regional Financial Controller, Africa for Vodafone Group. Louise joined Vodafone as Investor Relations Executive, acting as the liaison between Vodafone and the financial community. From 1996 to 2006, Louise held a series of positions at Cable & Wireless plc., including Group Director of Investor Relations, Director Corporate Finance and Head of Group Planning, Reporting and Analysis. Louise is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Birmingham. 10

11 John Tsang, Chairperson, Benefit Vantage Limited Born and raised in Hong Kong, John emigrated to the United States when he was a Form II student at La Salle College. He continued his education at Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He studied architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He went on to complete master degrees in Bilingual Education at Boston State College and in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He worked in the Boston Public Schools as a teacher and in curriculum development. John returned to work as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government in He took up a number of posts relating to commerce and finance. After reunification, he was appointed as Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Secretary for Planning and Lands, Secretary for Commerce, Innovation and Technology, Director of the Chief Executive s Office and in 2007, Financial Secretary where he served until He ran for the post of Chief Executive and lost. John is currently Chairman of Benefit Vantage Limited, a Hong Kong firm that offers an advanced mobile identification solution. He is also advising financial institutions and actively engaged in helping charity organizations. 11

12 Kwok Quek Sin, Senior Director of National Digital Identity, Government Technology Agency Singapore Quek Sin oversees the National Digital Identity Programme, one of Singapore s five Strategic National Projects announced in The National Digital Identity will be a nationallyavailable means for an individual to prove his legal identity in the online realm. It also serves as a digital infrastructure for public and private sector use so as to build upon more digital services on a common and universal trust framework for identity, authentication, consent, authorisation, digital signatures, ekyc and data platforms.quek Sin and his team look forward to collaborating closely with government agencies, industry partners and the international community, to develop the necessary ecosystems which can enable online trust, transform user journeys and streamline operations.prior to joining the Public Service in 2009, Quek Sin served in multiple consulting and management roles across various MNCs, including Accenture, Deloitte Consulting and HP. 12

13 Praveen Rajan, CDO, Digi Telecommunications Praveen was appointed Chief Digital Officer on 1 June He joined Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd in 2007, and brings more than 15 years of experience in the internet and mobile industries. He has held multiple leadership positions in his ten year stint with Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, and these include Head of Advanced Data Services, Head of Products Internet & Services, and Head of Postpaid & Digital Services. Prior to joining Digi, Praveen co-founded a social networking startup called LifeLogger in 2003, where he served as the Chief Technology Officer. 13

14 Masayoshi Sakai, Counsellor, Information-technology Promotion Agency Masayoshi SAKAI is a specialist for information industry and entertainment industry in Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan. Before joining IPA, he worked as general-manager in Tokyo International Film Festival, a visiting associate-professor in Waseda University and senior analyst for global strategy (information industry) in METI. He was responsible for concept design of Japan s national participation as the Partner Country for CeBIT2017 in Germany, where Japan s PM Shinzo ABE revealed Society 5.0 concept. He was just transferred to IPA to lead research activity on new fields of technology and business to explore. 14

15 Session Moderator - Rahul Shah, Mobile for Development (M4D) Director, APAC, GSMA Rahul currently serves as the Mobile for Development (M4D) Director for the APAC region, where he manages M4D s portfolio of programmes that aim to transform lives in underserved communities through partnerships between mobile operators, tech innovators, governments and development organisations. Prior to this, Rahul managed M4D s grants to utility providers and advised operators on the opportunity in the utilities sector. Before joining the GSMA, Rahul spent over a decade in the engineering of wireless communications systems and network planning. He switched tracks to general management after earning an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad and worked in solar energy and media & entertainment. 15

16 Presentations Please send your session contact any presentations and/or videos by 3 rd September. This will allow us to check they present properly on the equipment used in the auditoria and, importantly, find solutions if there are any problems. If you need to check, edit or update your conference materials, you can do so on-site at the Speaker Suite during event opening hours, up to 2 hours before your conference session. Only PPT or Keynote Files. Must be 16:9 slide size If you are using a custom font this must be shared with your session manager by 31 st August. Should your presentation contain audio or video please embed them and send the files separately (recommended files are MPEG 4 (.mp4) or AAC audio). Audio stereo Any standalone videos should be in 16:9 format and preferably HD prores (mov.) and named as per presentation Your notes should be embedded into notes section of your presentation Speakers are requested to bring a copy of their presentation on USB stick or other portable storage device as a form of contingency.
