4 Speakers Tom Attenborough, Head of International Business Development, Primary Markets, LSEG Tom joined the Primary Markets team at the London Stock Exchange Group in September 2013, with a focus on large-cap UK companies and the LSE s relationships with private equity and venture capital clients. In this role, Tom advises companies and their owners on the process of going public and life as a listed company on London s markets. Prior to joining the LSE, Tom was at Citigroup for over 15 years. Tom was a Managing Director in the Equity Capital Markets division, originating, structuring and executing equity and equity-linked transactions across Europe. He has been involved in a large number of IPOs and follow -on capital raisings over the years, including many involving a London listing. Prior to Citi, Tom worked in Kleinwort Benson s Equity Capital Markets team from 1994 to Tom graduated from Oxford University with a BA (Hons) degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Michele Backman Director, IR Advisory Services, Deutsche Bank AG Michele Backman is a senior relationship management professional with expertise across capital markets, investor relations, institutional sales, business development, global project management, and talent management. Currently, she is the New York-based investor relations advisor for Deutsche Bank s depositary receipts issuers, including Russia/CIS, Europe, Latin America, Africa, India, and the Middle East. Prior to Deutsche Bank she originated and led the Corporate Access platform at two of the world s largest banks, HSBC and BNP Paribas. She was instrumental in developing this product across all countries and sectors, liaising with the corporate C-suite as well as institutional asset managers. She spent seven years with Thomson Reuters as a lead investor relations consultant and relationship manager for Fortune 500 companies, interacting daily with the C-suite as a trusted partner and adviser. She began her career working with USAID and the World Bank. Dr Carolyn Browne took up her appointment in January Dr Browne joined the FCO in 1985 and has served overseas in Moscow, New York, Brussels and most recently Baku as Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan. Ayuna Nechaeva advises clients on listing options; ways to raise capital, corporate governance, investor relations and continuing obligations. Dauren Tasmagambetov Director of Asset Restructuring and Privatisation Department, Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna Dauren Tasmagambetov has been Director of the Department of Asset Privatisation and Restructuring at Samruk-Kazyna since May Prior to this, Mr. Tasmagambetov was Head of the Project Department for Privatisation of Assets of the Fund s Subsidiaries from 2014 at Samruk-Kazyna Contract, a subsidiary of the Fund. Before taking on this role, Mr. Tasmagambetov was CEO of Kazkom Securities. This followed a period as Managing Director of Kazkom Securities.
