ALBERT LUNENBURG CAPTAIN LANGUAGES: ENGLISH,DUTCH,GERMAN At 14 years old Albert attended a Coast, Rhine and Inshore Nautical school for inland vessels in Amsterdam with a scholarship from Shell

Albert went on to attend nautical colleges and courses, learning how to Captain ships in the Dutch merchant navy. In 1980 he became a National Pilot in the Northern part of the Netherlands.

2 ALBERT LUNENBURG CAPTAIN LANGUAGES: ENGLISH,DUTCH,GERMAN At 14 years old Albert attended a Coast, Rhine and Inshore Nautical school for inland vessels in Amsterdam with a scholarship from Shell tankers. His father was born on a ship so it was inevitable that shipping blood was in his veins. Albert went on to attend nautical colleges and courses, learning how to Captain ships in the Dutch merchant navy. In 1980 he became a National Pilot in the Northern part of the Netherlands. In 2005 Albert began as a Captain for an Owners fleet; after five years of service he embarked upon his SHERAKHAN journey. No other Captain would be a better fit for this vessel having driven the yacht in her previous life. He brought her to Harlingen when she was sold to the Nautical College of Terschelling and later piloted her from Lithuania for the previous Owner. The current Owner asked Albert to join the company in 2014.

JELCO KANT CHIEF OFFICER LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Growing up with a father in the yachting industry, Jelco knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in the Maritime sector.

At 18 he did an internship at Holland America Lines and began his studies at the Maritime School in Rotterdam.

While studying, in order to gain more knowledge about yachting, he chose to spend his holidays on board SHERAKHAN and LADY THURAYA.

3 JELCO KANT CHIEF OFFICER LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Growing up with a father in the yachting industry, Jelco knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in the Maritime sector. As a child he enjoyed time on his parents sailboat; often found at sea and determined to work in the yachting industry. At 18 he did an internship at Holland America Lines and began his studies at the Maritime School in Rotterdam. During this time her completed a thesis about Sherakhan Yachting Projects for the Maritime School in Amsterdam. While studying, in order to gain more knowledge about yachting, he chose to spend his holidays on board SHERAKHAN and LADY THURAYA. Jelco enjoys being on board SHERAKHAN and it s the perfect way for him to continue expanding his knowledge and experience, with the hope of becoming a Captain one day. ROEL CLAASSEN 2ND OFFICER LANGUAGES: DUTCH,ENGLISH,GERMAN Roel spent most of his childhood holidays by the sea in the South of France. He knew from then that yachting and the maritime world was his dream. He began his maritime education in Harlingen and here finished his SWK. He continued his education in Ljmuiden to become First Officer. His first internship at the age of 18 was on board a cargo vessel but he never stopped chasing his dream to become a yacht Captain, and so in 2018 joined our SHERAKHAN family. The traveling and spontaneity are the things he enjoys most.

MANON DE WIT HOTEL MANAGER LANGUAGES: DUTCH,ENGLISH,FRENCH Manon joined Sherakhan in 2008 working her way up through several departments within the company, whilst traveling all over the world.

Additionally, she has worked as a tour guide in the Caribbean, taught music and theatre and is about to complete her TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course.

Always smiling and with an eye for detail, she knows how to make guests feel at home.

4 MANON DE WIT HOTEL MANAGER LANGUAGES: DUTCH,ENGLISH,FRENCH Manon joined Sherakhan in 2008 working her way up through several departments within the company, whilst traveling all over the world. She then decided to finish her Bachelor of Marketing and Communication degree. Additionally, she has worked as a tour guide in the Caribbean, taught music and theatre and is about to complete her TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course. She is also working towards completing an International European Bar-Tending School diploma. Now with more experience and passion Manon puts her knowledge to use to ensure a perfect charter. Always smiling and with an eye for detail, she knows how to make guests feel at home. YAROSLAV YEMETS CHIEF ENGINEER NATIONALITY: UKRANIAN LANGUAGES: UKRANIAN, ENGLISH Born in a true marine engineer s family in the region of Odessa, it was inevitable that Yarick would follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. At 17 he joined his first training vessel and after 10 years working in cargo, he made the change towards yachting. In 2012 he joined the SHERAKHAN family and after 2 seasons he went back to cargo vessels, before rejoining SHERAKHAN in When he is at home he finds enjoyment in sports and family, especially spending time with his daughter.

ANTOINE SMULDERS EXECUTIVE CHEF LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Chef Toine began working in professional kitchens at only 15, first in The Netherlands, then the famous Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam and

5 ANTOINE SMULDERS EXECUTIVE CHEF LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Chef Toine began working in professional kitchens at only 15, first in The Netherlands, then the famous Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam and Restaurant Parkheuvel in Rotterdam (2 Michelin stars). After learning a lot in these kitchens, he moved to France to work at Pre Catelan (3 Michelin stars) with famous chef Gérard Vié. Back in The Netherlands, Toine worked as a sous-chef at Chateau Neercanne, before starting his own business. He now owns several successful restaurants with multiple Michelin stars that compete with top restaurants worldwide. He has appeared in television cooking shows and has won several prestigious contests and titles, including A Dutch Royal Decoration, appointed as Royal Chef for King and Queen and SVH Meesterkok ( Master Chef ), the highest honour for Dutch chefs. MAARTEN BINKSMA CHEF LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Maarten has been a qualified chef for over 9 years, 5 of which he spent working in Curacao in the Caribbean. He loved it from the minute he set foot on the island. Maarten is passionate about traveling and lucky his career takes him to many places where he can discover local food, tastes and different approaches to dining. He joined SHERAKHAN s sister ship LEGEND where he gained more travel experience before moving to SHERAKHAN where he has demonstrated his cooking skills, passion and delicate cuisines.

NOEL FUNDAL SOUS CHEF Noel has proven to be an excellent Sous Chef and an great addition to the team. Before joining SHERAKHAN, he was working in local high end restaurants.

Noel is a very dedicated individual with a lovely personality; always smiling and singing, he is very polite and gentle.

JESTER MONTANO MOTORMAN Jester is positive, motivated and enjoys helping out wherever he can.

6 NOEL FUNDAL SOUS CHEF Noel has proven to be an excellent Sous Chef and an great addition to the team. Before joining SHERAKHAN, he was working in local high end restaurants. His interest and wanderlust led him to the sea where he worked on board passenger vessels for over five years as second chef. Noel is a very dedicated individual with a lovely personality; always smiling and singing, he is very polite and gentle. The results are stunning and everyday he blows guests away, because good food makes happy guests. JESTER MONTANO MOTORMAN Jester is positive, motivated and enjoys helping out wherever he can. He is right-hand man to our Chief Engineer and continues to learn much in this role. In 2000 Jester graduated from Maritime School in Manilla. Since then he has worked mainly offshore. In 2011 he worked on board the sister vessel to SHERAKHAN, LEGEND, before joining the SHERAKHAN team. His passion for his job is shown in his perfection. Jester is completing school and certificates to eventually become Chief Engineer.

NICEAS GARTE BOSUN After finishing his Bachelor of Science in Marine Technology at the DAVAO Merchant Marine Academy, Niceas started his career in the Indian Ocean where he learned many

From 1999 to 2006 he was a sailor in Dutch waters, before deciding to move to the yachting industry to work aboard SHERAKHAN. With six years of onboard experience, Niceas is a friendly, hard-working and motivated person who is always smiling. He is an excellent tender driver and knows how to pamper the guests. ERWIN LEDESMA SAILOR Erwin graduated from Maritime School in the Philippines in He then took a job on a passenger/cargo ship as a Cook and Deckhand. He worked there for 6 years, before he joined SHERAKHAN. Erwin started off in the galley but was soon transferred to the deck department due to his passion and skills for being outdoors and taking care of the exterior. A real team player, he puts all his love into delivering perfect work, and takes pride maintaining the ships quality. He is a softly spoken man with an enormous smile and an encouraging attitude. After 9 years we are glad that he is with us for another season.

DONALD BASTO SAILOR Donald graduated as a Cadet from the Maritime University in the Philippines. Following this he worked at luxury resorts in the Philippines in the service department.

After 7 years of in the industry, he was worked on board LEGEND as a Sous Chef, but because of his interests and multitasking skills, he wanted to become a deckhand.

In his free time, he loves watching sport and training, and hopes to have a home with a big garden where he will have enough space for his luxury cars.

8 DONALD BASTO SAILOR Donald graduated as a Cadet from the Maritime University in the Philippines. Following this he worked at luxury resorts in the Philippines in the service department. He was always passionate about cooking, so his next assignment was as 2nd Chef on cargo ships. Here he gained his certification as a Chef Cook. After 7 years of in the industry, he was worked on board LEGEND as a Sous Chef, but because of his interests and multitasking skills, he wanted to become a deckhand. He has gained knowledge of all maintenance works and keeps the exteriors to the highest standards. In his free time, he loves watching sport and training, and hopes to have a home with a big garden where he will have enough space for his luxury cars. OSCAR KORTENHORST CADET Involved with sailing and watersports for most of his life, it wasn t a surprise that Oscar chose to go to the Maritime School in Rotterdam. Doing his internship on board SHERAKHAN he will be focusing not only on the tasks to become a Chief Officer, but also assisting in the Engineering department. A young, motivated and very serious spirit, he has gained knowledge doing a crossing on board one of the company s other vessels, LADY THURAYA. We hope he will return to the company once he has all of his qualifications as it is a joy to work with such a passionate, positive mind.

RENELEN SIMON CHIEF HOUSEKEEPING Rene recently returned to SHERAKHAN, after a five year break to see what land life was all about.

Her hospitality experience is exceptional with extensive experience working at luxury resorts and on board superyachts. Rene loves traveling and meeting all kinds of nationalities.

After 2 years she quit her job to pursue her dream career and began working as a housekeeping stewardess on passenger RoRo ships.

9 RENELEN SIMON CHIEF HOUSEKEEPING Rene recently returned to SHERAKHAN, after a five year break to see what land life was all about. She missed the wonderful team and decided to continue her journey on this beautiful vessel. Her hospitality experience is exceptional with extensive experience working at luxury resorts and on board superyachts. Rene loves traveling and meeting all kinds of nationalities. For her a sea view creates the most positive and warming atmosphere. JOHNEL BATOL HOUSEKEEPING Johnel has a Bachelors degree in Nursing and worked as a nurse in the Philippines. After 2 years she quit her job to pursue her dream career and began working as a housekeeping stewardess on passenger RoRo ships. After one year cruising around Europe, she moved into the luxury yachting sector. She spent over a year on board luxury yacht SOUTH before moving onto a sailing yacht. Now we are happy to have her in our team. She is hard working with unbelievable charisma and a great sense of humor. She loves reading, watching movies and dreams about buying a coastal home to watch the sunset from.

KATHERINA SAN JUAN HOUSEKEEPING After her Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management at St.

NEVERBA HOUSEKEEPING / MASSEUSE, ARABIC In 2016 Preciosa started sailing for the Crown Princess as a Massage Therapist.

10 KATHERINA SAN JUAN HOUSEKEEPING After her Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management at St. Paul University and her housekeeping schooling at the Magsasay Institute of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Katherina was ready to set sail and explore the world. In 2008 she started her adventure working for Costa Crociere Cruise Ships as a room-service attendant, before later joining SHERAKHAN. She enjoys the ocean as it brings her to the many wonders of the world. PRECIOSA A. NEVERBA HOUSEKEEPING / MASSEUSE, ARABIC In 2016 Preciosa started sailing for the Crown Princess as a Massage Therapist. With a degree in Massage Therapy and Housekeeping she is a very multifunctional asset to the SHERAKHAN crew and will give you the perfect cabin and the perfect massage. She joined SHERAKHAN in 2018 and her happy spirit fits right in. She loves family and thrives being out at sea, getting the chance to travel around the world. One of the places she wants to discover still is Israel.

CAMIEL VAN IWAARDEN SERVICE LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH As a child Camiel knew hospitality was his thing and at 13 he was working in his first hospitality job.

After a few years gaining experience in this industry, he started his Bachelor in Hospitality Management in Maastricht. In 2010 he joined the SHERAKHAN team as intern, returning a year later for another year as steward. He has worked in 1 Michelin star restaurant La Trinite, 3 Michelin star restaurant Oud Sluis, and 2 Michelin star The Jane, gaining the knowledge to call himself a Sommellier along the way. Camiel is a smiley and reliable crew member that will make sure you will have an incredible, unforgettable experience on board. JOEY HENDRICKS SERVICE LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Born as a true hospitality man, Joey completed his education at Middelbare Hotelschool and at chefs school before he started working in numerous establishments. His latest job was at the successful Sushi Samba in Amsterdam, however he was looking for a more challenging workplace. His biggest dream is to do a road trip in USA but first wants to discover new cultures and experience the world of yachting. Joey joined SHERAKHAN in 2018 and we are happy to have this motivated, talented crew member who will ensure you receive the highest standards of service.

CHANEL MAARSCHALKERWEERD SERVICE LANGUAGES: DUTCH, ENGLISH Chanel started working in hospitality in the Netherlands at the age of 15 but wanted to expand her horizons.

Her dream is to own her own business when she is older and she is eager to learn more about the hospitality industry while on board.

MAGDA DA SILVA CORAZIAS SERVICE On completing her degree in Tourism in Portugal, Magda worked in numerous 4 and 5 star hotels in Portugal, Spain and Costa Rica.

She gained valuable experience at the Hilton Hotels, Le Marron and other restaurants but her adventure seeking spirit led her to the world of yachting. Her dream is to own her own business when she is older and she is eager to learn more about the hospitality industry while on board. Joining SHERAKHAN in 2018 she is ready to give you the ultimate charter experience and with her never ending smile we are sure she will make your stay unforgettable.
