2 Who we are Working as a guitar player in several bands and studios, over the Years Frank Scheucher always wished for a guitar that could handle the severe requirements as an all-round working horse for any kind of music genre. With this goal in mind, 2002 Frank founded the Zerberus Guitars Company in Germany. With designs that are fresh, original, yet highly functional, Zerberus-Guitars stand out from the crowd. Resonant timbers combine with the finest hardware and specialized circuitry to offer a broad spectrum of tonal possibilities. In 2007 a friendly guitar player called Frank asking him if he could make a guitar of stone. After a lot of discussion and engineering Frank started building his first guitar made of Spektrolith and patented that special design and make. In 2009 Frank introduced the Zerberus Spektrolith guitar at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt for the first time. The construction made of Spektrolith with a weight of 5.9 Kilograms was way too heavy to be played comfortable over a longer time In the following Years Frank constantly improved and optimized the design using lightweight Mahogany and chambered bodies. Finally he could reduce the weight to 3.2 up to 3.6 Kilograms. And now after 9 Years of engineering and research Zerberus Guitars debuts with the Gorgonized Guitars series at the Anaheim NAMM show 2016, displaying the world s first guitars with genuine gemstone tops like Amethyst, Tiger s Eye, Labradorite and Brazilian Onyx. Gorgonized? The term Gorgonized originates from the Greek mythology and has the meaning of petrify. With one look, the Medusa (one of the Gorgons) was able to petrify her enemies. The term Gorgonized stands for Zerberus guitars with tops of genuine stone and gemstone How does such a gorgonized Guitar sound? The new construction with light Mahogany body and optimized sound chambers offers incredible sound characteristics. Thanks to the strong resonating stone top, the gorgonized guitars show a distinct acoustic volume - even unplugged. Played thru an amp, this acoustic capability delivers a very well balanced sound characteristic, and even in high gain the gorgonized guitars the sound stays differentiated. Even as the guitars have Chambered bodies and stone tops, they don't tend to feedback. As soon as you hit the strings, you can feel how strong and continuous the guitar resonates. Nevertheless feedback from the speakers does not affect the guitar a lot because the external source is not strong enough to set the hard stone top into resonance. What about some more various stone tops for the gorgonized guitars? For the gorgonized guitars there is a whole universe of various stones with endless colors and structures possible. The variety of stone tops that can be used on the gorgonized guitars is almost endless and still each of the gorgonized guitars is an unique specimen and one of its kind in the world. Frank keeps visiting exhibitions, dealers and quarries in search of extraordinary and precious pieces of stone from all around the world and soon there will be much more tops with various colors and structures.

3 Sustain and sustainability Another plus of the Zerberus-Guitars Gorgonized Guitars series is the fact, that the tops of the guitars can have an extremely wide range of amazing colors and structures without the need to clearcut exotic and rare trees for that use. Hard-Rock and really hard rock These are real rock guitars. Since the tops of the Gorgonized guitars are made of various types of stone, the surface is much more scratch and damage resistant than with any usual wood top guitar. Over the Years tops of guitars get scratched and damaged simply by playing the guitar. Using a top that is made of stone does minimize that risk. Another advantage of the stone top is, the possibility to illuminate the top using opaque stone types and LED technology with various colors that make the Gorgonized guitars even more an eyecatcher. 4 Frank Scheucher is very focused on details and so all of the Zerberus-Guitars have his very own characteristic design. Frank also has created poti knobs that he designed especially for the gorgonized guitars allowing to lay in caps of stone.
