1 NAMM BOOTH # KALA NEW PRODUCT NEWS, 6 RELEASES KALA Rumbler U-BASS More Bass, Less Space, Less Money The Kala Rumbler is the latest model in Kala Brand s distinctive line of award winning portable U-BASS instruments. The Rumbler takes the U-BASS into a new dimension with the addition of custom engineered electronics and new proprietary strings, at an economically friendly price. The Rumbler design integrates a specially designed Kala electronic system with a Piezo pickup and is equipped with an active EQ with built in tuner. Each bass is strung with Kala Silver Rumbler Strings which are proprietary U-BASS strings designed and manufactured exclusively for Kala Brand Music by Aquila strings. The Rumbler U-BASS retails at the pocket friendly price of $399. which includes a padded gig bag. 3 KALA Adds New Model to Classic Arch Top Series Kala Brand Music Co. has added a new Honeyburst model to its very popular arch top ukulele series. Regarded as one of Kala s signature models, the arch top series is a tenor sized ukulele with a design that is innovative, yet reminiscent of a classic arch top guitar. Similar in design to Kala s original Sunburst arch top model, the Honeyburst features a satin finish that accentuates its vintage appearance while also enhancing the tonal quality. Kala Brand Music Co. has morphed two of its popular models into the ultimate portable ukulele with the release of the Kala Travel-Pocket Uke. Measuring 16 from top to bottom the Pocket Travel Uke combines Kala s Thinline Travel and the Pocket Uke series into one amazing uke on the go. Despite its diminutive size the instrument s arched back construction and solid spruce top provides a startlingly full sound. Kala s New Strings for U-BASS Kala U-BASS and Aquila Corde have collaborated to produce SILVER RUMBLERS, a newly formulated proprietary string engineered specifically for Kala Brand s award winning portable U-BASS instruments. Using Aquila s patented technology and materials, SILVER RUMBLERS are a special blend of Aquila s Nyglut compound and calcium carbonate which gives them increased density, stability and, most importantly, the ability to resonate tone at very low frequencies. SILVER RUMBLERS are available in retail packages and will also be included as standard on Kala s new U- BASS, the Rumbler.
