2 About Sainsbury s Sainsbury s has been helping our customers live well for less every day by offering great quality at fair prices since So naturally, in 1997, when Sainsbury s became the first supermarket to open a bank we carried on the same ethos delivering a blend of financial products and attractive rewards to shoppers. Customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we ve got to know them better than anyone else. So when it comes to our mortgages they are built with you and your customers needs in mind. We know two of the biggest outgoings in the home are mortgage payments and the grocery shop so our mortgages come with a shopping reward to help make life a little easier.

3 Designed with you in mind Before we started developing our mortgages, we talked to brokers to find out what was important. We ve acted on the feedback we got and kept this in mind all the way through the development process.

4 You told us you wanted: Clear and transparent processes and procedures so you know what you need to do and what you can expect from us Confidence about lending decisions so you know right from the start whether your client is likely to be accepted for one of our mortgages Access to our knowledgeable team who can give clear guidance on our policy A good, quick and easy-to-use online system so you can input and manage your cases on your client s behalf.

5 You ll always know where you are with us You ve told us that affordability, clear and transparent lending criteria and a well laid out application process are all things which make your life easier. So we ve made things as clear and simple as we can. Access our lending criteria We ve put our lending criteria online and added a search function, so you can get to the information you need quickly. We ve spelt out as clearly as we can what our lending policy is and what information we need from you and your clients. Assess affordability When it comes to your clients mortgage applications, you ll want a quick and accurate view of affordability right up front. So we ve made our two affordability calculators easy to use. You can choose to do a quick assessment using ONS average UK data or you can input your clients actual data to get an accurate view of affordability. Be confident your cases will be accepted Our quick and easy decision in principle process will give you a reliable guide as to whether we ll lend on a particular case, taking the guesswork out of submitting applications. Information at your fingertips We ll also put up-to-date information on our service level information on our website, so you ll know how quickly we re working through current cases and how fast we re likely to get back to you.

6 Our systems are set up to make things run smoothly from beginning to end Get started right away It s easy to register to use our portal there s no hanging around. As soon as you register, you can use the portal and start doing business with us. Key applications when it suits you You don t have to complete an application all in one go you can stop part way through, save what you ve done so far and come back to finish it when you re ready. Which is handy for those times you get interrupted or when you find you don t have all the information you need after all. When you re ready to submit an application, our portal is quick and easy to navigate. If you need to make a change before you submit it, we ve made it easy to go back and edit the application. Keep track of your cases even when you re out and about As your case moves through the application process, we ll notify you at each key stage. It s up to you how you want us to keep you up-to-date - by or SMS. You ll be able to track the progress of each and every case from application through to completion using our case-tracking system. And our portal is mobile-optimised - so you can keep up to date with progress even when you re on the go.

7 Help and support when you need it We ve set up a dedicated support team, who are there to support you and your clients from start to finish. Need some advice? Our team knows all there is to know about our products, our service and our proposition. They ll be happy to chat through any cases with you and answer all your questions. Call us on Open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturday. Calls are charged at local rate from landlines and mobiles. Calls may be monitored and recorded.
