Rhonda Byrne That life responds to you is an important concept that many fail to ever grasp. For most people it seems like life does things to them and they are there catching. Wattles wrote the book and it had a little success at the time and then lay dormant for most of the intervening 100 years. Rhonda Byrne was given a copy of the book at a low moment in her life and it was a revelation to her. She turned her failing business and unsuccessful life around and produced The Secret which became a world wide phenomena highlighting the law of attraction and Wattles book, The Science of Getting Rich. By adopting this viewpoint, that life is responding to you you can begin to tap into a new world of success. This is a world entered by the way you think, the way you believe, and the way that you feel. It is a life where every second holds the opportunity to change your life because in any moment you can change how you feel. Byrne was able to take the ideas in The Science of Getting Rich and bring them to life in her world and it turned everything around for her. The Core Ideas 2

3 Wattles suggests that you decide what you want and create a very real picture of it in your mind. That morning and night you hold this picture in mind and enhance it. Learn to walk around it and look at it, touch it, what does it feel like. If it is something you get into then get in, what does it look like inside, how does it smell, how does it feel to the touch, how does it make you feel now that you own it. Make it a sensory rich vision that you are part of. After doing this for a very short time, you will begin to get ideas of what you should do to actually bring the object of your vision to you, write these down and if any of them are actionable, take that action. Next, during the day as you do the normal things, like go to work, that you do allow yourself to muse over the idea without giving it too much attention. Just let it enter your mind from time to time and perhaps smile now that it is yours and then release the thought. Wattles states: By thought, the thing you want is brought to you; by action you receive it. This is the process that Byrne used to turn her life around and the process you are beginning to create your future. By thought you have already created the things in your future and now you are taking action to be able to receive them. Don't Forget This Key Part There is a final, very important part of this and that is to be grateful. Give thanks for the things that you are creating and which will be in your hands soon. Give thanks as if you have already received them and then release the thought of them. Do this daily and then release the care of obtaining them. 5 The law of attraction says that you are a magnet and attract every thing into your own life, that you are responsible for all of it. With these examples and those you can probably supply out of your own experience you will probably find this to be true. Some people cannot believe that they are 100% responsible, yet it is a principle tenant of the law of attraction and it is absolutely true. Sometimes things seem to just happen and while it is true you may not see a direct connection with all things still it remains. Sometimes it is brought about by your subconscious and at other times it may have to do with a mastermind effect where your thoughts and others who are close to you work together and in essence form yet another mind that can also effect the law of attraction but this is less common than your own subconscious working behind the scenes. Since your subconscious works with the law of attraction too it means that you can use self-hypnosis to ensure that you are taking a fully integrated approach to attraction. Getting your conscious and subconscious minds working in harmony is a great way to practice manifesting. Here are some ways that you can learn more about the law of attraction so you can better utilize it: 1. Get some good books like The Science of Getting Rich, the great book that inspired The Secret. Napoleon Hill's Think And Grow Rich, a book that has created more millionaires than any other. The list goes on and on but those are two good ones to start with. It is interesting that neither of these books use the term "law of attraction" but in reading them the law stands out very clearly. These books will help you understand the law on a much deeper level. 2. Practice using the law of attraction every day. Observe areas in 5

6 your life where you can see it is working or has worked. 3. Have patience, the law of attraction is based on what you think and feel. As much as you may want to it is difficult to change your habitual thinking over night. But, by observation and understanding where you want to take it you'll soon be making the law of attraction work for you. Deep inside of you, you do not judge, you only manifest. What you have in the world is based on what you have thought and felt as well as what you think and feel now and in the future. You need to ensure that the things going on in your mind are those things that you really want to attract. Put the law of attraction and hypnosis to work in your life and attract the abundance and prosperity that you deserve. Knowing Prosperity, Using The Law Of Attraction For Success With the law of attraction you need to believe first; in the words of Wayne Dyer: You'll see it when you believe it. How do you do this? How can you know that you are prosperous when you 6

7 don't see it or feel like you are? Your circumstances reflect the illusion of lack and you are frustrated that things aren't happening for you. This frustration will keep you locked into the negative cycle. The answer is simple, you need to stop putting energy into the negative lack cycle. You invest this energy by thinking about and focusing on lack. Today you need to stop affirming that lack exists in your life. Stop complaining about it, stop identifying with it when you see it in the world around you. Use your will power to keep mindful of these things so you can change your thinking and flip it on it's end. You can attract abundance and prosperity by focusing on abundance and prosperity with joy as if it were already yours. Remember the quote, you need to believe it before you'll see it. Become a prosperity magnet by taking this principle to heart and you'll see abundance begin to flow into your life. Be sure to share the great things that are happening to you with others. And stop bitching about all of the nagging things of life, take your eyes off them and begin to share the good. Be sure to encourage others to do the same. Notice the great abundance in the world. Not only the possessions but the people in your life as well. Don't feel envious when you see others who are doing well but recognize them as a preview of the good things that are yours already and which will soon be in your hands. Use them as a mirror of the life you will lead. Know that you can choose abundance and prosperity just as you may have chosen lack in the past. Break free from that lack and struggle and believe that you have entered into the promise of prosperity that is yours. Remember that until you pick prosperity you will simply get what you get. But when you truly make the choice it is as if you have gotten behind the wheel of a powerful sports car and it is taking you to the place you want to be. 7

8 Use affirmations to help lead the way. Here is an affirmation to start with: I know that I am a powerful creator and I choose prosperity and abundance now. Affirmations should be used to counteract and replace negative thoughts that come to mind. When you notice you are off in the negative stop and bring your affirmation to mind or even to your lips and say it out loud. Other than that bring it to mind as often as you can until it is in the forefront of your thinking. It can become your truth. Many people don't consider that they are being honest with themselves when they start using affirmations but just keep at it and soon it will become a belief that will guide you to the riches that you seek. Be sure to say it with power and conviction as this will help your subconscious believe it. And remember "you'll see it when you believe it." Make this shift in your beliefs and perceptions to allow prosperity and abundance to flow to you and know that you deserve it. This is being proactive in a very real sense and though you may be taking a risk by embarking on your plan you have a very clear plan to get there. Why Should You Set Goals? Having your goals set down will let you keep track of your progress no matter what it is that you are after. This will build your confidence and allow you to stay motivated during your quest. Goal setting alone goes a long way toward achievement but you need to add self-discipline and a positive outlook. Lacking these two qualities you may not follow through on your goal. The discipline gets you to work everyday and the positive outlook lets you enjoy doing it as it is your expectation of success. It will help you persevere in the face of problems and put one foot in front of the other while you pull things together again. Successful goal setting means picking the right goals for you. Goals that are ambitious but not overly ambitious. If your goals are unrealistic and difficult you shortchange yourself by not allowing yourself to build up the goal achieving muscle before you are ready for such a goal. On the other hand, too small a goal will not have the power to pull you in and motivate you toward its attainment.
