No.: PGD 24(1336) ISO 1101:2012 April 2014 Draft Indian Standard GEOMETRICAL PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS (GPS) GEOMETRICAL TOLERANCING PART 1 TOLERANCES OF FORM, ORIENTATION, LOCATION AND RUN-OUTS (Second Revision of IS 8000(Part1)) ICS ; Not to be reproduced without permission Last date for receipt of comment of BIS or used as Standard is 30 June 2014 NATIONAL FOREWORD This draft Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is identical with ISO 1101:2012 Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) Geometrical Tolerancing Tolerances of form, orientation, location and Run-outs issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) will be adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Drawings Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council. This standard was originally issued in 1976 based on ISO 1101:1969. The first revision was brought out in 1985 to align with the revised version of ISO 1101:1983. This revision has been further taken up to harmonized with ISO 1101:2012. The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following: a) Wherever the words International Standard appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as Indian Standard. b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker. In this adopted standard, reference appears to certain International Standards for which Indian Standards also exist.
