1 DEPARTMENT J - SUPERINTENDENTS LEO WALLACE SHELLY HARRINGTON JOHN WARREN LORI TURPIN ENTRY DATES: Friday, Aug. 26 & Sat., Aug. 27 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm No exhibits will be received after these hours ENTRY FEE: $1.00 each for the first 4 items or $5.00 per sheet (to all Exhibitors) RELEASE DATE: Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 10:00 am 4:00 pm (No Exceptions) CASH PREMIUMS: will be available on Park St. west of the main gate Monday - Saturday, September 5-10, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday, September 11 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday, September 12 from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm After September 13th awards will be given out only during regular office hours. Premiums not claimed by September 30 will be considered a donation and will revert back to the Fair s general fund. SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES: A. Antiques must be 70 years old or older, unless specified in division headings. B. Exhibits will be entered in the appropriate division. Any exceptions will be at the discretion of the superintendents. C. Dishes MUST be washed and other articles cleaned. Jewelry and other small items must be in jeweler boxes and secured. D. No damaged or chipped articles will be accepted. EXCEPTIONS AT SUPER- INTENDENTS DISCRETION. E. Champion items cannot be re-entered or receive a ribbon for 10 years. F. Grand Champion items cannot be re-entered or receive a ribbon for 15 years. G. Collections will consist of 6 items only SOME EXCEPTIONS MAY APPLY. Items must be of the same function, not matching and well displayed. Only department personnel will be allowed inside railing. Security will be on duty during entry and throughout the week of the fair. H. The Eastern Idaho Fair District will take reasonable precautions to insure the safety of exhibits entered. However, the owners themselves must take the risk of exhibiting the articles. EXHIBITORS MUST IN ALL CASES BE THE BONA FIDE OWNERS OF ARTICLES EXHIBITED BY THEM. THE PERSON ENTERING THE ARTICLES FOR EXHIBIT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM, AND MUST BE THE PERSON WHO PICKS THEM UP. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER FAMILY HEIRLOOMS. In no case will the Eastern Idaho Fair District be responsible in any way for loss or damage to articles submitted. Presentation of article to be entered and submission of entry form shall be deemed acceptance of this rule. I. Judging will be based upon the following criteria: age, condition, rarity, overall appearance and cleanliness. Acceptance of items for judging will be at the discretion of the judges, and/or superintendents.
