1 ALL ABOUT RENTING at GENERAL RENTAL CENTER Business Hours and Rental Time Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We are closed on Sunday and most holidays. Reservations/Payment Terms Early planning ensures item availability. Remember, item availability is on a first come, first serve basis. A deposit of %25 of the total is required to reserve items for your event. The balance of payment is due one (1) week before delivery, or when you pick up your items at our showroom. We accept MasterCard, Visa, cash, and local checks with a valid driver's license. Items will be confirmed when the deposit has been received. Rental Time Most prices quoted are for a one day event. If you desire to use rental items for a longer period, please call our office for long term rates. We charge for all items picked up or accepted for delivery whether used or not. All rental prices are subject to change without notice. Order Changes And Cancellations... Additions to an order are welcome, but are subject to availability. Last minute changes or additions may be subject to an additional %25 charge to compensate for additional time used to complete the order. ALL cancellations forfeit the reservation deposit. Reservation deposits on tents, grills, tables, chairs, linens, china, candelabras, and all special event items are not refundable or transferable. Cancellations AFTER delivery, installation, or customer pickup FORFEIT ALL PAYMENTS. Cancellations of individual items previously reserved are subject to a %25 fee of the original order. Delivery/Pickup Delivery and pickup is available on any size order and the fee is based on destination and current fuel prices. Please call our office for charges. Delivery/pick-up is tailgate drop off. If you request a deliver/pick-up to a specific floor or area, additional labor costs may be assessed at a minimum rate of $45.00 per man/per hour. Our delivery personnel are instructed to neatly stack all items in a convenient place. Special containers are provided for china, glassware, etc., to ensure that you receive your items sanitized, undamaged, and table ready. We will be happy to schedule delivery/pickup based on availability. You may request AM (8-12) or PM (12-4:30) delivery/pick-up if necessary. Request for a more specific delivery/pick-up time may be scheduled at an additional charge. Please make any special arrangements with our party consultants before delivery/pick-up is made. Customer Responsibility If your order includes delivery/pick-up, complete directions to the site are necessary as well as instructions as to where the merchandise is to be left. If customer is not there and we have no instructions, it will cause delay and possible extra cost if rescheduling is required. Responsibility for equipment remains with the renter from the time of receipt to time of return. Tables and chairs should be taken down, stacked and ready for pick-up. All china; glassware, etc., should be cleaned and repacked in the same containers in which they were received. Linens should be refuse free and dry to prevent mildew. Be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather. We offer cleaning service for china and glassware. Call for quote. Set-up and Take Down Set-up and/or take-down is available for some items at additional charges, i.e. tables and chairs. These arrangements MUST be made in advance to schedule adequate personnel and time for this service. Clients must be present at the time of delivery for set-up instructions or complete diagrams must be provided. Precaution with Linens You must take precautions when using candles. Any linens returned with wax on them will incur extra charges for cleaning, or possibly replacement. We suggest using a decorative mirror under the candle to avoid spillage. All candles have a tendency to drip whether they are dripless or not. Do not put wet linens in plastic bags. They will mildew. Mildew stains will not come out. You will incur a replacement charge for all linens returned with mildew stains. Linens showing signs of abuse, i.e., burns, tears, used to wipe up spills, stepped on, or permanently soiled will incur extra charges for cleaning or replacement. Equipment Use When picking up or accepting delivery of equipment, please learn to use the item(s) rented. We do our best to instruct each customer on how to safely use our equipment. Instructions are sent with most items. Should an item not work, please contact us immediately. Also, when picking up or accepting delivery of equipment, be sure you have received all of the items on your reservation. If the item(s) are not correct or acceptable, we need to know immediately in order to remedy the situation. Any items that we deem were delivered and have been lost, you as the lessee of the equipment are responsible for any costs it could incur. All utilities are to be marked prior to installation. General Rental is not responsible for damage due to improper or non-marked utilities. All tents must be setup by General Rental Center. All prices include setup, but do not include delivery costs. When selecting a site, be sure to find a site adequately level, and free of over hanging tree limbs. We prefer to assess the site prior to installation. All Frame tents are supported by a interconnecting network of poles and do not have center poles.
