3 Carbon Neutral Shipping We ship all packages carbon neutral through UPS in an effort to offset the climatic impact of delivering our packages. With this program UPS invests in reforestation and other projects that reduce the carbon level in the atmosphere and base their investments on how much carbon is actually released in the delivery process for each shipment we send. This essentially offsets the environmental impact of shipping with Sunbeam Candles. Visit to learn more. At Sunbeam Candles, we strive to be as green and clean as possible in our everyday business. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle We reuse and recycle all of our leftover wax from production, and fill only one bag per week of garbage. We also recycle all cardboard, plastic, plastic bags, and paper waste. Our paper products are 100% post-consumer waste and chlorine free, and we use recycled office paper for printing in the office. We love to carpool it saves gas and money, and helps us feel connected too. We also compost all food waste from the shop. The compost is used to grow food and nourish flowers in the gardens around the candle shop. Philanthropy Working for Harmony The Bees! Honeybees are essential not only for the livelihoods of beekeepers and beeswax candle makers, but also for our food systems! The importance of honeybees to our global food system is becoming wider known, better understood, and more deeply investigated as colony collapse has become more prevalent over recent years. Sunbeam Candles has recently experienced first-hand the effects that diminishing hive health has had on beeswax cost and supply. We are proud to support the Pollinator Partnership, an organization that partners with many groups to educate, inform, research, and take action on the health of honeybee hives. 20 Sunbeam Candles always seeks the purest and most local sources of ingredients available. Our beeswax and soy wax are harvested in the United States. We maintain a personal relationship with many local and regional beekeepers who sell us their entire harvest each year. Our soy wax is certified non-gmm and contains no petroleum, pesticides, or herbicides. It is also biodegradable and not subject to animal testing. All of our aromatherapy lines are scented with 100% pure essential oils never chemical fragrances. All of our wicks are free of lead and are100% cotton. Our dyes are environmentally friendly and do not contain hazardous solvents or additives such as naptha or naphthalene. No ingredients in our dyes are on the California Prop 65 list of cancer causing ingredients, and our dyes are never tested on animals.
