The biggest challenge in the next 100 years will be the need to control global warming. For sure, it is going to mean restructuring our lives around the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. In the horse drawn era 100 years ago, the environment was truly sustainable. Today, it is not. Tomorrow will be different. The days when we grew and made everything close to home might hold some of the clues.
