August 2017 Current Create course content, teach, and supervise two teaching assistants for labs and lectures of Introduction to Natural History. Teach three hour Ornithology lab for Dr. Grindstaff in Spring 2018, and acted as teaching assistant to Dr. Loss s Applied Ecology and Conservation laboratory in Fall See teaching experience section. Graduate Research Assistant, Oklahoma State University. January 2015 August 2017 Hired and supervised 8 field technicians, created and monitored project budget, designed data collection and analysis, and wrote 2 successful grants to fund research. Designed, executed, and reported on research investigating nongame bird responses to 29 years of prescribed understory fire regimes in the Cross Timbers forests of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Took intermediate and advanced classes in GIS for Natural Resources Management using ArcMap and spatial data. Used Canoco 5 and R for multivariate statistics, hierarchical data modeling, GLMMs and AICc. Worked as part-time teaching assistant on a volunteer basis, see teaching experience section. Lesser Prairie-Chicken Technician, University of Oklahoma. April 2014 November 2014 Oklahoma, Texas Trapped and tracked radio-collared Lesser Prairie-chickens in northern Ellis County, Oklahoma. Built, repaired, and placed traps on leks, banded, bled, and radio-collared collared birds. Tracked collared birds using radio telemetry on foot and by airplane to determine movement patterns and habitat use, removed and marked fence lines to reduce Lesser Prairie-Chicken collisions. Handled 25+ adult birds. Membership Services Coordinator, Association of Nature Center Administrators. October 2012 February 2014 Utah Disseminated membership benefits and services to nature center administrators in North America. Achieved 18% growth in membership by establishing communication protocols to maintain high membership renewals and encourage growth, maintained membership database in FileMaker Pro, performed bookkeeping in QuickBooks, streamlined publication and membership forms, and expanded mentor program.
