2 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESS INQUIRIES: Elle Ferrier or Samuel & Sons Introduces the Seychelles Collection FEBRUARY 2015 (NEW YORK, NY) - New this Spring, the Seychelles Collection, introduced by Samuel & Sons, is inspired by the natural materials and array of colors found in the untouched paradise of the Indian Ocean archipelago. The Seychelles islands inspire the sense with a unique vibrant tranquility, explains Marisa Gutmacher, Samuel & Sons Design Director. We wanted to echo the timeless tones and texture of its natural environment with this collection that can be both relaxed and invigorating. From the headers of the wood bead fringes to the usable borders, each style within the collection depicts the imagery of surging waves and the sand impressions they leave behind. Woven of cotton, indigenous to the Seychelles island chain, the collection offers two woodbeaded fringes, a 2" border and 1/2" gimp. The first of the wood bead fringes is a slender, satin glazed teardrop and the second is satin glazed globes. The color palette is broad, composed of naturally influenced neutrals, midtones and deeper mineral hues, offset by a series of bright hues derived from tropical vegetation. Stylistically, this collection pairs well with textured cottons and linens as well as transitional and contemporary scale patterns. The satin glazed beads will also complement drier silks with subtle luster, such as Dupioni. The Seychelles collection accentuates any vision in a myriad of environments from resort to home and library to juvenile. The Seychelles collection from Samuel & Sons is available in the New York flagship showroom, the Chicago showroom in the famous Merchandise Mart, and in London s esteemed Design Center Chelsea Harbour, as well as in fine showrooms throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
