8 Standard Terms and Conditions Terms of Payment: Net 30 Days based on approved credit. Drop Ship Fee: A handling fee of $2.00 will be added to any order that specified as a Drop Ship order. Damages in Transit: Chef Specialties must be notified in writing within ten days of delivery. Claims are not accepted without prior notice. Loss in Transit or Discrepancy in Goods Received: Chef Specialties must be notified within five days after delivery. Claims are not accepted without prior notice. Returns: Will only be accepted provided that all merchandise is in selling condition and with written return authorization (RA). A handling charge/restocking fee will be applied to all overstock returns, and any items damaged due to insufficient packing in return shipment will not be assured credit. A copy of the return authorization must be enclosed with all returned goods. Order Errors: Chef Specialties is not responsible for errors on orders. The customer will be responsible for inbound freight due to errors of this nature. Art Charges: Art charges are not subject to group or program discounts or rebates. All charges for art will be billed separately from the product. Liability of the Company: Chef Specialties Company liability shall be limited to the replacement value of any goods agreed by Chef Specialties Company to be defective. Goods agreed by Chef Specialties Company as defective will be repaired or replaced free of charge provided they are reported within thirty days, or at Chef Specialties option. Appropriate credit will be given provided the above conditions have been met. The company shall be under no liability whatsoever for any consequential loss. Limited Lifetime Warranty on Grinding Mechanism: The grinding mechanism of our mills have a limited Lifetime Guarantee. This guarantee does not cover breakage or other damage due to improper use, negligence, accidents or alterations. This guarantee does not cover cracked or broken bodies of acrylic or wood pepper mills. Improper use includes grinding salt and/or other spices or products. This guarantee does not cover the finish. The guarantee is void if anyone other than the Chef Specialties Company or its authorized repair stations has repaired a product. This guarantee gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Routing: Please specify your preferred carrier. All small shipments will go via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. Large shipments will ship via the least expensive and best freight carrier, unless otherwise specified on the purchase order. A $2.00 handling fee will be charged for all shipments using a third party UPS collect number. Chef Specialties Company does not ship using third party FedEx numbers. Prepaid freight will be shipped using a method of Chef Specialties Company s choice. Cancellations: Chef Specialties Company requires a one-week notice to cancel any order. Phone cancellations must be confirmed in writing. We can not be held responsible for any inbound or outbound freight expenses incurred on orders cancelled without one-week notice. New Customers: Initial orders from new customers will be shipped with payment terms of C.O.D., check, money order, or credit card. To establish credit, customers are required to complete a Chef Specialties Credit Application.
