All Tarkett vinyl products manufactured in the European Union are 100% phthalate-free. Tarkett s vinyl rolls also have low VOC emissions, for better indoor air quality. Respecting the environment All of our vinyl sites in the European Union are equipped with closed-loop water systems today. Closing the loop Tarkett vinyl rolls are eligible to our ReStart takeback programme, except for acoustic products with textile backing. Through ReStart, installation flooring waste can be effectively managed while contributing to safeguarding the world s natural resources and protecting the environment. We recycle customer flooring offcuts and waste from our production, transforming it into new, high quality products. In this way, we can collectively close the loop and shift to a circular economy. 66 EASY INSTALLATION PRODUCTS for more detailed instruction, please refer to our detailed installation instructions Floor covering exclusively for interior residential use. Contact your Tarkett retailer if you are unsure about any part of the installation. Store the 2m rolls upright in a safe position and the 3 or 4m rolls laid on the floor. The subfloor must be flat, level, clean, without marks (no felt pen, marker, etc.), sound, dry, solid, hard, smooth and not exposed to moisture (humidity rising). Absorbency must be checked. Use adhesives recommended by Tarkett. Always follow the adhesive manufacturer s instructions. The installation must be completed with a thorough-cleaning and make sure that the newly laid floor is free from adhesive residues. This information is subject to change due to continuous improvement. Needed tools for the installation: Type of subfloor - Installation Fully Glued Semi-Glued Loose Lay NEW SUBFLOOR The subfloor must be level, flat, clean, free from marks (no felt pen, marker of any type, ballpoint pens, paint, etc., that could cause discoloration due to migration), dry, solid, smooth and not exposed to moisture. Absorbency must be checked and corrected if needed with an appropriate primer or levelling compound Linoleum coverings Old Vinyl floor covering Carpet and other textile coverings Existing flooring must be in good condition (no disbonding, no cracks ) and cleaned (grease and dust removed). Vinyl Rolls is not recommended for installation on very flexible plastic coverings (textile or foam backing). These would be very flexible plastic coverings (textile or foam in the backing). Please remove any existing vinyl covering before installation. Remove the flooring before the installation Where there are no joints and the strips are not loose; any loose plank must be secured. Prepare Unroll Adjust Check the subfloor and prepare it if needed (please check next page for preparation). Leave the vinyl roll at least 24 hours in a minimum room-temperature of 15 C. The floor should run parallel to the incoming light in square rooms, and along the length of the room in narrow rooms. The sheets should be laid so that joints do not coincide with doorways. it is recommanded to let the Vinyl sheet relax unrolled in place 24h before final installation. Place the floor in the right positionning. Cut excess vinyl on the outskirt Secure the edges (including joints in the middle of the room) with double tape on the sides, for a semi-glued or a loose lay installation. Clean your vinyl floor with hot water and a neutral cleaning product and then rinse. Parquet and laminate flooring (glued down and floating) Ceramic tiled flooring Make sure to sand and vacuum existing wooden flooring before installation. If there is a risk to block humidity in the subfloor, glued installation is not recommended. Installation on tiles could cause telegraphing effect (visible joints of tiling on the Vinyl Rolls surface). That s why Vinyl Rolls is not recommended on tiling. A leveling compound has to be used first to ensure level and flatness. When joints are not visible, loose laying or gluing can be admitted. Grease and dust have to be removed.
