The comfort height WC, being a couple of inches higher than a standard WC, significantly reduces the strain on joints and leg muscles. Wall-hung Fresso furniture means the basin can be set at any height. The Shaker lever-operated taps and thermostatic shower valve make for easy operation in a familiar style. There are basin sizes suitable for every space, beautifully-crafted and with deep bowls ideal for face washing or shaving. The close-coupled WC has been redesigned to operate on just 4 litres of water, saving tonnes of water every year. Often there is simply no room for a separate shower enclosure and a reluctance to remove and replace the bath. The Unity showerbath is specifically designed for this situation. 18 GRANLEY This strong bold suite takes its styling from the 90 s Art Deco era. Many iconic designs emerged from this era and the sculptured angularity of Granley exudes Britishness and stability. Like many of our suites there is a Granley range of acrylic baths which mirror the design features of the suite to create a fully coordinated look. 19 4 GRANLEY DECO The Granley Deco range allows a modest bathroom to aspire to the grandeur of the 90 s. It shares many of the features of its parent, Granley, but in a more subdued and compact way. Integrated, Linear and Walk-In Showering Our range of integrated, linear and walk-in showers featured on pages 06- are not water tight shower cubicles and as such there will inevitably be some water that escapes onto the floor and walls outside the showering area. The floor of your bathroom needs to be tiled or some other flooring that is resistant to water penetration. We would recommend that the area immediately around the enclosure is water proofed- this is best practice even when more conventional shower enclosures are used. Level Entry Shower Trays (STW and STW) These trays are just 40mm thick. Achieving a level entry installation relies on recessing them into the floor boards, overboarding the floorboards around the tray and tiling on top. The thicknesses of the tiles and materials you use will vary and the installation will need to be planned on site. Sanitaryware Dimensions quoted for our products are approximate in line with normal business practice, NOT to indicate a lack of attention to detail, but in the case of sanitaryware production to indicate that the process is inexact. If precise measurements are required then it is always best to measure the actual pieces when they are delivered and plan your bathroom around them. Every effort is made to ensure our sanitaryware is straight and level, and our standards are significantly higher than those set out in the current British standards, however, when used on furniture, for example, there will the situation where an inexact basin will meet a perfectly straight worktop and sealant will need to be applied to fill any inconsistencies, ensuring a stable fit and sealing the furniture from water ingress. The 5 year guarantee on sanitaryware extends to the ceramic pieces only. The cistern fittings are guaranteed for 0 years. The inlet on all our ceramic cisterns is on the bottom right hand side, unless stated otherwise. Heritage Logos The word Heritage or the letters hb are used as a hallmark to denote a genuine Heritage product. Acrylic Baths The white acrylic used has been specified to match the colour of our sanitaryware. As it is a different material, and reflectivity of materials vary, in some light conditions the white may look a little different. Our Walk-In baths are NOT manufactured from acrylic, the complexity of design prevents this manufacturing process and they are produced with a hardwearing gelcoat. Heritage bath panels are designed to go with Heritage baths, a 700 panel for a 700 bath etc. White plastic, corner and Fresso bath panels are a fixed height and when used in conjunction with one of our baths allows the bath trap to be installed above the finished floor in most cases. Shaker and Traditional panels have a plinth so the height can be adjusted. Cast Iron Baths Cast iron baths are products that are notoriously difficult to make and the process of manufacture is expressed in intrinsic characteristics such as a degree of surface ripple, dimples and miniscule black specks within the interior. These features are quite normal and will not affect the life of the bath they are part of what makes a cast iron bath a cast iron bath! The outside of the cast iron bath is now smooth and primed ready for painting- this preparation is not intended to be the finished surface and may suffer some minor damage during transportation which will be easily rectifiable when you paint the outside in your finished colour. Furniture Lifestyle finishes are artificially produced foils applied to MDF and are naturally durable, water resistant, easy to maintain with a consistent look whether they are a solid colour or faux wood grain. We recommend you choose a Lifestyle finish to withstand the everyday use of a busy household. Realwood finishes use natural real wood. The door frame and scoop of a vanity unit, for instance, is made from solid timber, the door infill and worktops made from a real wood veneer (a thin layer of real wood) bonded onto MDF or chipboard. The carcass for the Compact Realwood Oak is a matching melamine faced chipboard and veneered chipboard for the Shaker Oak Fresso and New Heritage Traditional ranges. Realwood matures over time and you will notice a difference in the strength of grain and colour saturation from item to item. We recommend Realwood if you enjoy the individual natural look and are prepared to spend a little time keeping your bathroom clean and dry. Taps, Shower Valves, Wastes, Heated Towel Rails and Accessories Heritage taps are designed to be compatible with Heritage sanitaryware and baths. A taphole basin mixer will be suitable for any taphole basin, the few exceptions to this rule will be highlighted in the directory section. The majority of Heritage taps and shower valves have been engineered to operate on low pressure making them compatible with all plumbing systems. The minimum operating pressure for each tap and shower valve is stated in the directory for you to confirm compatibility with your installer. Finishes Chrome is an extremely durable plated finish which is applied to a variety of fittings in a consistent manner. Antique/Timeless Gold are intended to be the same gold colour. Timeless Gold is a high tech hard wearing finish we apply to high use fittings such as taps and shower valves. Antique gold is a plated finish we use on shower kits, hoses and accessories where the Timeless Gold finish would be overspecified and cost prohibitive. Close inspection may show some colour variation which is normally acceptable given the relative distance between individual fittings when installed.
