The Finest Collection of Luxury Bathroom Fittings Martin has created his own unique range of roll tops using the revolutionary material Chadite. Unlike acrylic, Chadite is a sturdy material based on technology used in the marine industry. Martin created moulds from antique English and French baths allowing his Chadite range to capture the surface patina of the cast iron originals. Unlike the many mass produced baths on the market Chadite baths are durable, comfortable and boast their own individual character. Inspired by the success of his baths Martin developed the Chadder range of complementary cast metal pieces including ornate washstands, mirrors and accessories. He is now recognised as one of Britain s finest traditional bathroom product designers, famed for both the Chadder range and individually commissioned works. 5 MADE IN ENGLAND Sand Casting All Chadder cast products are hand cast in England using sand- casting skills which have been handed down over many generations. The dedication of our craftsmen has to be experienced to be believed, and the unique collection of Chadder castings is a fitting tribute the their skills. First a pattern is placed in a moulding box and special casting sand is packed around the pattern. The mould is then split so both faces of the product have made an impression in the sand. The pattern is removed and the two halves of the mould put together and lined up. The metal is heated in a furnace to 700 degrees and then hand poured into the moulding. Special ducts are made in the sand to allow the molton metal to flow through the mould and form the new casting. Once the metal has cooled the sand is broken off the mould to reveal the new cast product. Following the casting the item is then machined and polished giving an antique texture and patina making each item unique. Please note that all castings may have slight imperfections in colour and texture or small casting marks, this is normal and part of the antique patina of the product
