OFS Intervention System Project LIMO Meaning; Light of Weight & Modular of Design Research committed to and decision made to engage with Subsea Technologies Limited of Aberdeen in the role of; FEED Lead, Design House, and Project Manager. First system to be of 7 1/8, 10K working pressure with the challenge being to develop a subsea intervention system fully compliant with and based around API, ISO and DNV standards for subsea well control products, work over risers, ROV interfaces and subsea structures. System to weigh no more than 60 tons whilst being compliant with Client needs and expectations in terms of well control and redundancy. The subsea well intervention system will be designed around shelf deployment in, largely, the UK Continental Shelf but with other geo markets in mind. System designed around shallow to mid water depths, thru water deployment and offering light intervention but with modularity built into its design Modularity to consider deeper water depths requiring the deployment of Rigid Riser and extension of services provided by OFS into Coil Tubing and Well Clean Up. 5 1/8 System will follow 64
Project LIMO (continued 01); The intervention system will be designed with an electro-hydraulic control system in order to provide responsiveness, a smaller umbilical diameter, enhanced monitoring of operations and system diagnostics and ease of moving the system from shallow to deep water. While research continues on developing our optimum Supply Chain OFS driver is to offer a mix of proven and innovative technologies via diversity of suppliers. Proven shear seal technology Qualified to NORSOK D002 Standard, Innovative Technology; The multi-functional SLIC Connector; comprises a family of products which allow the user to create; a riser connector, a wireline pressure control head or a subsea lifting tool through the installation of various cartridges. XR Connector; providing radically improved vessel safety, and offering reduced cost through enhanced vessel operability. 65
OFS Subsea Intervention System evolving Subsea Equipment: The image to the right is a developing representation of what the OFS Subsea Well Intervention System may look like? Still early days...? Work continues. With research already confirming the optimum Supply Chain. 66
Project LIMO; what remains? FEED Study scheduled to complete at the end of May 2014 already well developed. FMEA scheduled for mid May with STL, Client and JV participation. This is KEY! Detailed design resulting in Bill of Materials and approved Basis of Design. Enter Build Period, estimating ~ 18 months FAT, SIT test programmes already in development. 67
Preferred Model moving Forward: Vessels to integrate Marine, ROV, MPT, SIS, Wireline and perhaps a light Stimulation Capability for Client in support of a safe, integrated and effective service delivery Should some Clients however prefer a call off model reflecting current contracting arrangements can also be negotiated. 68
